Lance eccles wrote:Yes, Christ resides in the heart of every believer, but he founded a Church to guide those believers.

And the papists tried to steal it from Him. Thank God they didn't get away with it.

The popularity of Obama only proves to me how ready the world is for the anti-christ's appearance.

Daniel 11:21 And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

QUOTE" And all people, they believe, have not only the freedom but the responsibility to interpret the Bible as it speaks to them and to seek God on their own terms."

Its obvious to me that the author is not a Baptist. As a Baptist myself,a sin hatin,Bible thumpin, devil kickin independant FUNDAMENTAL Baptist,I don't seek God in my own terms at all. The Bible teaches we are to conform ourselves in the image of Christ, and it is never the other way around.Only a liberal looking in could ever make such a statement.

My church has a 12 foot tall(large for our area)sign in front that says one word in capital red letters, BAPTIST.I helped lay the brick border for it 5 years ago,as far as church membership, ours has grown since we built the sign,by about 35 families. Our membership since we built a new auditorium in 2001 has doubled from 200 to 400,we're thinking about building another.People are saved almost every week in our church we Baptize new members often. We have visitors in every service, including most Wednesday night prayer meetings.

I say that God was right when He chose the folly of preaching to spread the Gospel. It still works, every time. Solid Biblical Preaching and good testimony build churches, not names. Therein lies their problem

No surprise from Gore. He is using the same doublespeak that Clinton and McCain use. There is no threat to traditional marriage by the SS crowd. There is no threat to traditional marriage by two homos doin their thing in their bedroom. The threat is from their actions outside the bedroom and Las Vegas wedding chapel. The want us to call them normal. They want to be recognized as equal to godly traditional folk. That is the threat. They want to be protected, even over Christians, whose country this is. They want to make US endorse their vile and sinful ways, thereby being complicit in them.

Politicians are deflecting people's common sense to the lesser of the two points, hoping we will swallow the camel. There truly is nothing new under the sun.

Good! I think that the USA is the greatest country in the world. But, we could certainly gain by the "scientists" being shut up. They think they know so much, but their wisdom is, in the words of Solomon, vanity. Seeing the evolutionists believing their own mortality is a great thing. Maybe they would finally open their hard hearts to the gospel.

The change Hiaary and Obama stand for is out with Bush, in with them. That's just the beginning, then higher taxes for more welfare progs, more government and wealth redistribution, more more more. I remind all of a quote from Hillary a couple months ago, "I HAVE SO MANY IDEAS FOR THIS COUNTRY, BUT THE COUNTRY CAN'T AFFORD THEM." That is not the change we need, thank you very much.
