Dopey you are a Demon.

IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST YOU ARE COMMANDED TO LEAVE THAT BODY! NOW! NEVER TO ENTER AGAIN! GO TO WHERE JESUS SENDS YOU! GO!

Now David it is important at this point to also repent and renounce and confess to the Lord of every specific sin of satanism, spiritism, throw out all music that isn't specifically worship music such as hymns. You must distance yourself from your satanic music, this is important.

Any mysticism, wicca, D&D, throw out your dispensation junk too. Renounce it all, be specific. Be thorough! Stay at it, let the Lord show you every corner!

Praise God, begin to worship Him and thank Him!

Thank you Lord Jesus!!
Thank you for caring for us so much that you died for us in our place, Please continue to bring healing to those here vexed by evil spirits!

Matthew 27:29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

Our sin as those thorns crammed into His head, should the scepter with which He rules be a reed they beat Him on the head with and spit on Him. Then He was led out and crucified for our sin.

Mocking, Mocking, Mocking the devil is a mocker. He will dig at you using something dear to you, He knows full well what should cause you to rise in anger. He digs up your pet peeve, your fears, your doubts and sins and spits them in your face.

Christ was filled with Love and He let them (us) do this for you. But it was our hatred of Him, our idolatry, our thefts, our lies, our lust our adulteries, our fornication, our hatred, our murder, our blasphemy and covetousness we are fully guilty of committing, and eternally judged by, for which He was also mocked by the devil. Christ shed His own blood.

Oh the richness and depth of the mercy and grace of our God!
The Lord Jesus Christ is Risen!

Dopey's death wish/curse would be a blessing

Dopey you missed something in your post

Luke 8:29 (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Example of combining these verses

IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST COME OUT OF HIM AND GO TO WHERE JESUS SENDS YOU DEMON!!!

Saying it was you someone said that to, they could also say “go away Dopey” and expect to hear from David in his right mind next.

Powerful stuff yeah?

The rapture is of no interest to me. What is the rapture to you who may die tomorrow?
No one is guaranteed one more breath.

I don't blame you for not reading anything I wrote. But let me try to be clear one more time.

I didn't mention the rapture in context of my belief in the placement of the rapture. A Rapture will happen it's in the Bible.

My question is "how can anyone be saved without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit"
Answer: they can't.
Indwelling of the Holy Spirit is part of Salvation. Therefore the Holy Spirit has to be present during the tribulation still saving those who are saved then. Classic Dispensationalism is false.

Luke 17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

How were Old Testament Hebrews saved?
By Grace through Faith!
Isaiah 61:1-3 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; ... (see also Luke 4:18-19)

Salvation has always been by Grace through Faith,
I know you appreciate context so please take the time to consider Eph 2 and while there is much needed reading there, I would like to offer this pause,
Ephesians 2:18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

I would also offer Hebrews 11 for your consideration, with these pauses
Hebrews 11:26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

Hebrews 11:39-40 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Will you answer my question too? Thanks

Dopey, I feel cheated by your continual slipping around the issue. At least John fj and others make it plain they aren’t going to listen to me, but you are playing games.

There is no Salvation possible without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit,
Dispensationalism teaches many will be saved without the Holy Spirit being even on the earth. This LIE denies the Christ who saves us, It is a damnable heresy! 2 Peter look it up.

Jack Van Impe is a (Jesuit inspired or literal) PROVEN false prophet!!!
When Dec 21 comes and goes, and no rapture has happened he will slip around the date set by himself again. He has set a date of 2019 for Christ’s return, Van Impe is a false prophet!
Dispensationalism was spawned from the Bible hating Jesuit ]]J.N Darby, spread by ]]Scofield and others, including IRONSIDE.

Repent of spreading this stuff as if it was truth.

Dopey my friend,

I have to leave again for awhile. I know you are considering these things, and I know that this is a hard thing to consider. At least it was for me for awhile.

In my case, I have a slew of false teaching that has been or is still in need of correction. But... Clinging to what I do know of a certainty... is peeling away the stuff that can't compare.
Meaning;
Salvation is by Faith alone in Christ alone and the Indwelling of God the Holy Spirit is a certainty at salvation. Therefore it's impossible to be saved at anytime without the Triune God. Especially going forward into tougher times than now, such as "the great tribulation".

Is that making any sense or do I need to try again? I'm sorry that I can't seem to speak plain English so that a point gets across without multiple tries.

Amen! We are all in need of being held up by God our Savior, The Lord Jesus Christ. Unable to stand in our own strength.

1 John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

The question is the one that John UK repeated for me at 6/19/12 10:29 AM

I'm asking this, because I want you to be snatched away to His Glorious Light, as I was, after 25+ years of believing in Classic Dispensationalism.

The part I am being specific about is Salvation by the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit, Who is God. This point first, lets please lay aside rapture and interpretation of Rev for a tiny bit.

I think I'm tracking (I agree) with ya Dopey! I had computer trouble, and have to leave in a few minutes again...

1 John 4:2-3 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

However right you are in this, there is still a matter of my question to you that in all fairness, you haven't answered yet. It's not hard to answer, but an honest answer is going to mean more to cons

Now, when are you going to do a study yourself?

I'm not a Calvinist.
I didn't quote some CT Morphology, No Institutes, No Confession. Just the Bible and you won't even listen to that.

John fJ,
All the verses I posted that show faith as a gift from God, do prove that.
Something John UK said quietly is echoing loudly in my ears, and I want to repeat and restate it.

John UK wrote:
It is a good thing to focus on the object of faith rather than faith itself.
I trust Christ, and I certainly do not trust my believing, or attempts to believe.
Faith itself does NOT save us. Christ Himself does save us. Salvation comes from by and through Him. So our faith is IN Christ, not IN faith. Believing He saves is faith, but only because HE saves.

Therefore, “faith itself” is a gift from by and through God/Christ/HolySpirit.

Just as David proclaims (Psalm 51:4) all sin is against God Himself alone, the reason is God Himself alone is the one we offend, because without His Holy Nature and Law, there would be no transgression against Him.

BY HIM do believe -- Gift!
Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. (1Pe 1:21)

“delivered unto” came from somewhere
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
(Jud 1:3)

I'll stop here.

Can you honestly say John, that you have actually personally taken the time to study this?

Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. (Col 2:12)

Fruit OF THE Spirit would mean it doesn’t come from “me” (it’s a gift) sure enough Faith is listed here.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, (Gal 5:22)

Eph 2:8 has been discussed so I don’t need to list it again, but it would be more evidence faith is indeed a gift of God.

Paul knows where Peace Love and Faith comes from
Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Eph 6:23)

Not mine, but His (didn’t have it couldn’t earn it... gift)
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
(Php 3:9)

Still more...
I have at least 2-3 more posts with the results of my "looking in other places", as you suggested. Still digesting it all.

Hey Dopey, the wording I used on this doesn't sound like I meant it. I have a daughter that can memorize scripture really easy, she has the mind and ability to do it.
I have a really hard time memorizing, and even with much struggle and determination, I can't seem to get much of anything to stick.

So I was thinking of my situation, and because I addressed you, you would probably naturally think I was talking to you, and it might appear that I was questioning your ability to memorize, and I wouldn't know at all one way or the other if you were a steel trap at memory or not.

I should stop replying to anything, I just don't make sense. sorry if it offended you, I sure didn't mean to.

Those Martyn LLoyd Jones sermons really are good tho, which was really what I wanted to pass along the most.

Seriously, and I'm not trying to be mean to anyone-- but--

First you have to pick a translation of the Institutes. Then you have to pick a camp. One camp is very sure that Calvin didn't believe or teach that the Bible was/is infallible. I picked wrong and gave up at that point.

In starting to read the Institutes myself, it seems like what Calvin taught is different than what Calvinist of certain flavors teach. Confusion awaits.

How do we GET faith? Where does it come from? (the Word of God is certainly a precious gift)
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Rom 10:17)

Speaking of gifts...
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; (Rom 12:6)

Faith OF Jesus --we have believed in Jesus, faith Of Christ. (notice the “word sandwich” faith starts and ends with Christ!)
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. (Gal 2:16)

Received
This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? (Gal 3:2)

Unto and upon mean that they were given. (Faith OF Jesus)
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: (Rom 3:22)
Because...
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; ... by his grace ... Whom God hath ... through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness... his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. ...

Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

GOD shall declare and provide and propitiate and remit and forbear and justify--- and that by the faith (in His blood) --HE-- gave. “by” and “through”. =Gift (severely edited for space)

Faith is how the Holy Ghost purifies us
