I've been listening to you series in Ephesians and this sermon hit me at the right time. Almost sad to hear that you are wrapping it up.

This is such a great message and so important. I'm concerned, however, as it seems in this generation, even Christian young men DO tend to choose the girls that dress immodestly and it seems the discouragement from that fact pushes these young women to adopt the culture's immodest dress.

Lovely teaching! Love hearing the psalm at the end but have noticed a trend at the moment in some churches in which presenters seem to sing faster and do not allow the congregation to set a pace comfortable with everyone and this affects the quality and harmony of the singing adverslely

A beautiful reminder that we should never tire of hearing the wonderful news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Thanks for this.

Once when my daughter was in elementary school she won an award and was presented it at a school assembly and I was invited to say something at it. I mentioned our faith in Jesus Christ and I heard a woman do a sharp intake of breath. Actually I said "our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ". Oh well once I said it what could they say about it. And for career day we asked our pastor to come & he did!

Btw did the pastor not meet and counsel with the couple beforehand? I would think if he had he would have known the values and morals of the couple.

I wasn't blaming the pastor but since he was new to the congregation there maybe the previous pastor didn't set a standard and I was suggesting that since it IS an issue and him being a teacher (what pastors do) then he shouldnt have waited so long to do the very thing he is supposed to do. I think from here on out he will make sure his responsibility is done long before the last minute. I await your apology for the "shame on you comment".

The pastor should have made the standard clear beforehand and approved of it long before the wedding.

Willie's wife dresses modestly according to the world's standards but not to biblical standard. And when he gave in on his daughter's homecoming dress showed he isn't living up to his role as a Godly man.

This article was a bit misleading. As someone who lives near the area, I can tell you the need for a permit was mainly due to driving down to the sand bar. Vehicles can leak oil, fluid etc. So there was a need to control how many vehicles are driving down there, to keep our waters beautiful. They could still do the baptisms but not drive down there. If they were allowed then Bubba in his beat up old truck that leaks oil would have the right to drive down there. It is open to anyone but if you want to reserve the spot for your function then yes you need a permit similar to using a park shelter house.

I am glad bylaws arr changing. Too many churches see weddings as a money making opportunity instead of a holy religious ceremony. They don't charge for baptisms so why charge for weddings?

Churches will need to specify that weddings are for church members only and stop charging for them as church isn't a business and weddings are a religous ceremony like baptism. Wedding photographers and florists etc will need to provide wedding services based on contracts only with churches that agree with their religous beliefs of marriage and stop performing services for non Christians. Problem solved.

The one wife from Duck Dynasty wears skin tight yoga pants, short hemlines and dresses that are tight form fitting that are sleeveless and shoulderless and yet they all profess to be Christian. Rebecca St James wears skin tight leather pants & tight form fitting yoga pants & tops. But whoa to anyone who points it out. Someone maybe modest by the world's standard but its not the world's standards we are to live by. This needs to be addressed in YOUTH groups especially.

I submitted a comment previous to this and it never showed up, why? There was no profanity, etc. Just me giving examples of people who have tried to point out famous so called Christians who when you tell them what they are doing isn't modest, they and their followers go mean/crazy. Not sure why that comment wasn't allowed on here...
