In the gospels when addressing the 'health' issues of the mixed multitude there seems to be a distinction in terms; i.e. sickness, disease, and evil spirits.

John 5:13-14 And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place. Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

This article seems to put the cart before the horse. The seven deadly sins mentioned are only dealing with second table violations. Yet, I find that most definitely the first table violations precede the second table and then there are the "hinge commandments" or (+) 4th and 5th commandments that will offset the others considerably, when (+)disregarded (-) consequence follows. That's where I started in my consideration of behavior changing drugs, a correct diagnosis of the problem and the Scriptural treatment considered.

This article addresses the symptoms and seeks to play science, it isn't addressing the sickness/sin in the whole of the moral law approach.
