Proofless premise. The Sandy Hook killer did not get the weapon at a shopping center. Or centre.
Mike, I didn't realise you Americans couldn't spell "centre" either.

News item;
"The East Winsdor gun store which sourced at least one of the guns used in the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting was raided by federal firearms agents last night.

Officers from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) swooped on Riverside Gun Sales at 5pm yesterday evening, as officers from East Police Department cordoned off the plaza.

The raid was a result of security worries at the store after it was revealed the premises had been robbed of a rifle similar to the one used in the Newtown shooting, just four days before the tragedy." dailymail.co.uk

The proof of the premise is to be seen at Sandy Hook.

Prevent these massacres of children by removing the guns from the shopping centres, or continue to allow these slaughters by your current moral standards. One or the other!!

The Right to bear arms of necessity includes the right of some to annihilate 20 six year old kids.

To remove the one necessarily requires the removal of the other. Both originate in the same initial human conviction.

What our compassionate president didn't tell us is how many of the shootings "reportedly" were by "assault weapons," which issue is the basis for his endeavors.
If you come to the Uk Mike it will probably shock you that you won't need to carry a gun around with you, we don't have a gun shop on every street and mall and don't experience with regular monotony the slaughter which America has become so inured to in recent decades.

ps. Simple solution to cut down on the massacre of six year olds is take away the gun shops - you don't need them in a civilised society.

"massacre" ~

the unnecessary, indiscriminate killing of a large number of human beings or animals, as in barbarous warfare or persecution" (Dicty)

I trust the Word of God to protect my children and the Word told me to do the following:
Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. - (Luke 22:36)
And you expect us to believe that this instruction applies to every single follower of Christ do you?????? Is that your actual experience of American society????

I guess what you are suggesting is that in America every Christian is walking around with a sword strapped to his waist????

Instead of encouraging people to arm themselves with M16's and kalashnikovs from the local arsenal why not remember the Biblical teaching ....

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Too little too late.

As the morals of the western world become more and more removed from society then this particular American problem of gun mentality will become even more dificult to police and justify.

The American solution observed on todays media is apparently to increase guns in the community, which will have a deadly effect upon people of all ages. The next Sandy Hook incident is pending, certain and sustained by the so called "right to bear arms."

"The deaths are among the hundreds of instances of gun-related fatalities cited by President Barack Obama this week as he unveiled the most far-reaching measures to stem gun violence in decades. “In the month since 20 precious children and six brave adults were violently taken from us at Sandy Hook Elementary, more than 900 of our fellow Americans have reportedly died at the end of a gun – 900 in the past month. And every day we wait, the number will keep growing,” he said." (independent.co.uk)

A society who allows the people placed in charge of the protection of those children to be unarmed is culpable for the evil of not protecting them
A society which allows the murder of 20 innocent six year olds and does nothing about the access of guns on its streets is culpable of the evil of not protecting them.

Millions of schools all over the world do not have gun toting teachers to protect the children in their care. Your arguement is seen to be flawed by the experience of your own schools and schools of other nations.

Do something realistic to stop this regular American carnage, do something realistic to protect the children. Clearly as a "Christian" you do not trust God to protect your children perhaps you need to think this through.

God does not require nations to arm themselves to the teeth and make available such murderous tactics in a "civilised" society.

Maybe bad guys are different now, and reinstatement will be effective?
Bad Guys???

Criminals don't slaughter 20 six year olds in a school.

A society who allows easy access of military style weapons on the high street is culpable of that evil act.
