Can anyone tell me when this great tribulation is supposed to happen? Seems to me the Church is under tribulation now more than at any other time. I mean, just look around the signs are everywhere.
There's an interesting story in the Bible about wise men seeking the Savior at his birth. They actually went to the religious leaders of their day(the experts), to find out where the Messiah would be born.
Does anyone wonder why after they told them, they themselves did not go to see? Perhaps then as now the religious leaders don't understand the time?

Why is it that some Americans say the opposite of what they mean? It makes reading posts very confusing. Why do they say:
"can have" instead of "can't have"?
and

Blame it on the public schools in America.

They're too busy indoctrinating to educate students anymore.

Just wondering if it's got anything to do with the modern televangelists or maybe the pastors of the giant megachurches who seem to propound these sentiments themselves.Perhaps if hell were preached more often than how to get rich quick in Jesus name, more than 37% would believe in the reality of it.

These men,and women too, have a responsibility to preach the word of God.They are given a huge stage, they should use it to spread the light of the gospel.Instead of promoting themselves or their latest book.

I'm sure Tony will agree that the modern versions are a Vatican,Jesuit,Illuminati and New Age conspiracy against the true word of God.

I know for a fact, because Jesus said this, that evil will increase more and more right

***Hypermen***

Hyper-John UK

If evil is going to increase then

If you stand with Christ against oppression and injustice THEN you will speak up against it! This of course will include a plea to GOD, in Christ. For GOD declares "Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord" Rom 12:19..." give place unto wrath..."

Does Christ have concord with belial? NO! Or what part does a believer have with an infidel? NONE! 2Cor 6:15.
Therefore imprecation does have a place in an active prayer warriors life, for action against injustice, tyranny and other crimes, as the word of God declares. EG Deut 28:15ff

Hyper-John; You are not afraid to contend alongside Christ against HIS enemies are you?

God wrote
"25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
26 And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away." (Deut)

*BECAUSE* (V15), They would not obey HIM nor hear HIS voice!!
KNOW anybody like this today?

your Christianity
Try to remember that prayer does not CONTROL God! Imprecatory prayer is not man using divine power to destroy anybody, God does not work like that. These prayers are a plea for Biblical Justice as revealed recorded and taught in Scripture. God's Holy Word.
Believe it or not John, God still makes all the decisions (unless you
are Arminian). God remains SOVEREIGN over all! All prayer goes through the mediator Christ Jesus. God commands us to pray. If you treat God simply as a means to an end - then YOUR end will be hellish. It is not about what you "perceive" to be right or wrong. But injustice around you shouldn't be ignored by God's people. Strength of feeling about injustice, abominations, moral decline, oppression, deceit, crime, despotism and tyranny should not make you stick your head in the sand.
Whilst you are sat around only praying for the nice things - Some people are suffering from all these works of Satan's people. Don't turn a blind eye to these in the vain hope that evil may turn out to be nice. ALL the Psalms are a work of God by His inspiration, AND the work of Christ. Jesus stands against injustice therefore if you are one of HIS, don't just pretend it will go away!

John UK wrote:
Think on the words of the ungodly, how they curse men
John
You teach that these Biblical words are "ungodly" do you?

Deut 28:20 "The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
21 The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.
22 The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish."

John; Now as far as Mr. Dispy is concerned he can ditch the OT because he believes it is addressed to somebody else. But how do you accomplish your ditching of the bits of the OT where you disagree with God's justice?
After all Jesus said He came to fulfil the OT and not "one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." So when you carve up the verses which you disagree with what criterion do you apply for this act?

Sorry I have to say this BUT.
I hope God brings you to the whole counsel of God one day soon.
Please make your calling and election sure!!
Now I see why you are not really posting true Calvinism on here.
If you can delete Scripture in this way and not perceive the Truth within and Christ within the entire Bible then....

YES I did!

I think the best option is to TRUST IN GOD for my ability to serve HIM by Grace, Faith and in the Spirit. It's the *ONLY* way!
BTW Who is in charge of your sinful existence and contrary flesh. I hope it's not YOU!! Watch out for the Rom 11:16-22 Warning!!

2] why the 12 disciples had such a hard time understanding what Christianity New Covenant

1] *Translation of John's doctrine* The Book of Psalms as recorded by God in the Word of God makes people fight and kill.

2] The answer Dear Boy, is - "Lack of the Holy Spirit"

Now John
We can see that in your doctrine that the Lord got it all wrong. For example in the case of Sodom and Gomorah, John would have advised sending Wesley to belt out a few hymns and saved the day from fire and brimstone.

I assume John that you have already advised the Lord NOT to send the Wrath of God since at heart everybody is really quite nice.

John this liberal penchant you have for dismissing the Old Testament is rather disconcerting for BIBLE Believers.

John read Deut 28:15ff
EG
16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.
17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.
18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.....etc

GOD's reason for these verses is "WILT NOT HEARKEN UNTO THE VOICE OF THE LORD THY GOD..."

Is God immutable John???

Don't think an unregenerate can be a hyperman
You're far to polite Mike.

Hypers believe
"that God is the author of sin and of evil
- that men have no will of their own, and secondary causes are of no effect
- that the number of the elect at any time may be known by men
- that it is wrong to evangelize
- that assurance of election must be sought prior to repentance and faith
- that men who have once sincerely professed belief are saved regardless of what they later do
- that God has chosen some races of men and rejected others
- that the children of unbelievers dying in infancy are certainly damned
- that God does not command everyone to repent
- that the sacraments are not means of grace, but obstacles to salvation by faith alone.
- that the true church is only invisible, and salvation is not connected with the visible church
- that the Scriptures are intended to be interpreted by individuals only and not by the church.
- that no government is to be obeyed which does not acknowledge that Jesus is the Lord, or that Biblical Law is its source of authority
- the grace of God does not work for the betterment of all men
- saving faith is equivalent to belief in the doctrine of predestination"(Monergism.com)

Here we go again!!!
If you dont agree with the free willer/arminian crowd - you are deemed to be a "Hyper"???

Why dont you find out what the term really means???

Then theres
"Yet another example of one who is unable to distinguish between full-blown Pelagianism and Evangelical Arminianism"

= "Evangelical Arminianism"
Thats a good oxymoron.

Both Pelagianism and its close cousin Arminianism = (semi-Pelagianism) - are heresies. Just as the Popish cousin of Molinism is. They are all syneregism or salvation by human effort.

"Right through the summer vacation period, there will be carefully selected quotations for thinking about God, the Christian faith, human nature and the meaning of life"

The Free Willers and Arminians should tune into this.
Theres not much difference between their religion and Ratzingers.

Both salvation by works.
