Quote "Within twenty years of the founding of modern Pentecostalism by Charles Parham, many people became Pentecostal who had Baptist rather than Methodist holiness backgrounds. These new Pentecostals rejected the second blessing idea of entire sanctification. Thus, the third blessing, “the baptism of the Spirit” became the “second blessing.” Pentecostal theology has retained the second blessing idea to the present. Pentecostalism and the modern Charismatic movement did not grow out of the careful exegesis of God’s Word but rather out of heretical “holiness” revivalism." (B.Schwertley)
Now thats interesting. I've come across "Baptists" on here who have been into this baptism in the Spirit ideology. Does this mean that some of you Baptists are Pentecostalists?
