Rufus wrote: Revelation 17:6 - And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. The woman is the whore on seven hills, the hills are in Rome. The whore will later be destroyed. Neither the whore nor the whore's destroyer are Islam.
Why is the Bride of Christ maligned as the Whore of Babylon? Jesus himself answered the question:
"If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household" (Matt. 10:25).
"If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world . . . the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you" (John 15:18–20).
Worldlings will always relentlessly abhor Christ's Bride. It's in their nature. Pray for them and do not curse.
With a vast secular civil magistrate who can respond immediately to any altercation, even between first-graders, why would they ever allow any form of spanking? Furthermore all children are under their jurisdiction.
Whoever designed this form of government has no interest in ultimate parental authority. Our children are effectively wards of the state and we're merely their care-givers -- nothing more.
