Welcome to Sermonaudio "God’s will ALWAYS seems unreasonable."
"God’s will ALWAYS requires everything." "He will always ask you for everything you have."
"God’s will ALWAYS carries God’s promise."
"God’s will is ALWAYS in your best interest."
"God’s will [shall] ALWAYS exceed our wildest expectations."
Lovely Message "We were all widows!" "We are to see others as such." Interesting connection btw how God didn't find a sinner first then look for a savior to say He also didn't find a work then look for a worker but that a worker is chosen in Christ and then sent to the work.
Inspiring Sermon Sermons like this one inspire. You are one exacting sergeant; but, I appreciate it and admire you for it.
Thank you Tim,
Thank you for this message. Oh, thank you!
At my work right now I think I'm being "persecuted" or marked out at least for Christ's sake and to comfort myself through this scary trial I've leaned on verses that remind us to count it all joy. I've even rejoiced that our Lord has counted me worthy AND RIGHT THERE - bam - sin. Pride.
I hear myself saying, "I don't deserve this". Oh what irony.
I don't deserve the negative thing, nope, uh uh, but I ALSO don't deserve the honor that comes from receiving dishonor for the cause of Christ. What a wretch I am to look at how He's justified me and think "oh, is this the footwork for some glory coming my way?" Oh, brother. I deserve NOTHING. Thank you for this timely message.
May I pray rightly, ask rightly ... MORE HUMILITY FOR ME, LORD, PLEASE. May He glorify Himself and may I and especially my pride get out of the way.
Thank you, Tim.
BTW, you've come a long way since K-zoo. Don't let that fill yer bucket too much, eh, but it's true. I'm proud of you.
BRAVO, Baptist Brother Dr. B. makes applications using "applicational inferences", I believe he called it.
This morning a "strange providence" (the kind that's perhaps behind such logic) led me to find a diff. btw. the WMCF and LBCF:
WCF Chapter 1: "6. The whole counsel of God concerning all things necessary for his own glory, man's salvation, faith and life, is either expressly set down in Scripture, or by good and necessary consequence MAY BE DEDUCED from Scripture: unto which nothing at any time is to be added etc."
LBC Chapter 1: "The whole counsel of God concerning all things necessary for His own glory, man's salvation, faith and life, is either expressly set down or necessarily contained in the Holy Scripture, to which nothing is to be added at any time, either by new revelation of the Spirit, or by the traditions of men."
Subtle, but big, huh?
I'm proud of you, Joseph!
Excellent Excerpt Regarding the week long festive food display in the teachers lounge and the Wednesday night staff party: "either you must lose your lusts or your pleasures and delights or you cannot expect to find favor with God...". Key message from the text: redeem the time & honor Christ. Thanks for the reading, Tom.
Great Sermon! I've listened to this entire series thus far. The 10th commandment remains. If you don't have your Bible: STOP! From the pulpit, this man quotes more scripture than he exigetes. Apparently, they speak EXCEPTIONALLY well for themselves. If you were wondering how comprehensive this series might be, now you know. THAT'S how one can preach through the whole of the 10 commandments in eleven sermons! Don't let the gentle voice of this first introductory sermon fool you either. By the nineth... Watch out. It's CONVICTION TIME throughout. I warned you.
Downloaded this series As I travel this Thanksgiving to visit family, I'll be on the road for seven hours. I've downloaded this series and am eager to start listening to them even tonight (starting with this one). Thank you.
Praying for My 3 Hermanos I trust this dear sister church is assisting these remaining brothers ... His Church assists them with prayers (probably more than they deserve and less than they need but sincerely offered more than they realize).
