Lurker wrote: 1) Agree. 2) Don't you perceive you're measuring the bible with the rule of a doctrine? "Made like unto his brethren" yet "knew no sin", with all the obvious consequences as I expounded, is clear and stands in perfect harmony when original sin is taken out of the way. I say again, Adam's body before and after transgression was the same. His soul changed. Jesus, the son of man, was made "like unto His brethren" whose bodies were "in Adam". The exception is Jesus' soul knew no sin, contrary to his brethren. This all stands in harmony till doctrines are forced onto scripture. . . . B. McC: The word for perfected is Teleio, meaning fulfilled, finished, completed, done, accomplished... Me: Its also a verb, present tense, with a passive voice meaning He was the recipient of the action (by the will of the Father). I don't deny your view. I'm just pointing out it doesn't tell the whole story. why you keep using the term "in Adam" which is found only once is the Bible and according to you only refers to physical death. |
