Great Sermon! Thank you for this sermon. It is encouraging to read that sodomites are not beyond salvation., but sadly many won't listen because they believe you can be a Christian and a sodomite. Would like to hear a sermon on how to deal with those of that mindset. I have one in my life.
Good reminder that we will all die. The question we should ask ourselves is are we ready? This is a sad story because of the actresses fruit shows us where she is today. Those who refuse to bow the knee to Christ Jesus now because they think they will wait till their deathbed are deceiving themselves. Miss Fisher had no time to repent when the heart attack hit her. Sadly this is the case with majority of Hollywood celebrities.
Great Sermon! Alina, if you look on Sermonaudio full website on the left side click on local church finder. Then click on International. You can then click on Canada for a list of churches. I believe there are 96 churches listed all over Canada in the different provinces. I hope you can find a good church near you. You will never find a perfect church because we are all sinners. But there are many small churches out there that are striving to obey Gods word. If you happen to be near the Calgary area I can highly recommend the Free Presbyterian church there. They have a faithful minister, Armen Thomassian, who is very dedicated to preaching the whole counsel of God. You can listen to him here on Sermonaudio. Please don't give up on the local church. Even if you have to drive over an hour, to find one it will be a blessing to be with other believers. As Hebrews 10:25 says,"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is.."
Great Sermon! I remember years ago when blending Hellywood with Sunday School first started. I think it was in the late 80's. A Church of Christ member wrote a Sunday School series based on certain episodes of the Andy Griffith Show. I was a lost church member at the time and even I thought something didn't seem right about it. How far we've slid into apostasy since then.
Great Sermon! I would be very careful, lie detector, who I call Judas's. Just where do you get your information? Why not listen to some great reformed preaching here on SA? I would recommend Joel Beeke, Jeff Pollard, John Weaver, Steven Lawson and many others. Read some of Calvin, Luther, AW Pink and Spurgeon to name just a few.
Unprofitable Servant, I dont think SC was justifying the sodomites at all. She is absolutely right in laying the blame where it belongs--at the Church's feet. Where was the outcry in 1963 when God and his word were thrown out of out public schools? Why didnt every Christian parent remove their children from government schools? Where was the mass outcry when the Supreme Court legalized murdering babies in the womb? What about the filth that was brought into our living rooms in the late 60's until now on our tv sets? What about the filth that most Christians pay money to see in theatres or rent/buy on dvd? The list could go on and on. Just as Lot moved closer to Sodom and became irrelevant in the lives of his neighbors, but also his own family, American Christianity has become irrelevant in our day because of the sins we tolerate in ourselves and others. We are definitely under God's judgement.
Great Sermon! Lady Day writes:
western women don't want to be forced to wear HAJIBS either....ALTHOUGH it would be nice for women to bring back dresses, hats and gloves similar to the mid 20th century"
MS writes: Once again getting back to the article. Around election time everyone running is a Christian or suddenly has a Damascus road experience, and Christian voters ooh and ahh and trot out the most over-worked Bible verse..."Don't Judge"...
Yes, seems very like a rerun of GW's conversion before the election. He fooled me once but not the second time. Trump doesn't fool me at all. Won't be voting for Mr or Mrs Evil this election.
