Seems as if tony's old boss Ray Comfort would make the case that women should preach the gospel in the open air. Here's an article from On the Box written just about 1-year ago: http://www.onthebox.us/2012/07/should-woman-testify-in-open-air.html
Thank-you so much for your testimony. It is so comforting to know that good God fearing people are still alive and well. It is so important that are prayers and faith bring us together so we can stand up and protect our religious freedoms. Your words were inspiring and I am grateful.
With neo-feminism sweeping the world powered by birth control, won't even conservative denominations continue to downgrade as many MDiv/PhD-educated women (or even pastors' wives with these credentials) buck for the pulpit and win it?
Then, a few decades later, the embrace of same-sex marriage will be the death knell of once-conservative denominations.
That's why it's called the McJesus industry. Make no mistake about it, these churches are money making enterprises, and should have to pay taxes as such.
For those of you reading this outside the United States, churches in this country are actually exempt from paying taxes. All the while the senior pastors of these mega-churches live lives of luxury, fly around in private jets and live in mansions.
The multi-campus church concept is just a way to increase donations without having to hire additional staff. It's all about making a profit.
Its good that Mr. Paisley stepped down as Moderator of the Free Presbyterian Church. Its just unfortunate that he didn't step down sooner. He should not have taken on the job of Northern Ireland's First Minister while being Moderator.
I notice that the BBC are reporting that Mr. Paisley has taken part in a service with a Roman Catholic Priest. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/7198719.stm
If this turns out to be true, Mr. Paisley should be removed from his position as a Free Presbyterian Minister. The Free Presbyterian Church has always preached "..be ye separate onto the gospel"
Its a sad sad day for the Free Presbyterian Church...
"Sorry GG, Jesus always talked to the living. He never addressed anything to dead folks unless He was raising them from the dead."
What about when Jesus spoke to Elijah & Moses on the mountain when He was transfigured?
Mark Chapter 9 9:1. And after six days, Jesus taketh with him Peter and James and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves, and was transfigured before them. 9:2. And his garments became shining and exceeding white as snow, so as no fuller upon earth can make white. 9:3. And there appeared to them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus. 9:4. And Peter answering, said to Jesus: Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. And let us make three tabernacles, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. 9:5. For he knew not what he said: for they were struck with fear. 9:6. And there was a cloud overshadowing them. And a voice came out of the cloud, saying: This is my most beloved Son. Hear ye him.
Were they dead or alive? It seems to be incorrect, scriptually, to claim Jesus only spoke to 'living' people, living, I assume to be normal mortal life like you or I presently occupy.
Thank God there are some pastors who have bowed the knee to the politically correct crowd! We do not hate homosexuals, but we absolutely decry the sinful lifestyle. There is forgiveness for ALL who repent of sin.(whatever the sin may be). We cannot defy God's standard of righteousness or call it something other that it is. Sincerely, A Christian New Jersey teacher
