It is sad that we are still so much in darkness, confessing godliness but denying the work thereof. The whole counsel of God is partially preached or not at all.

Many churches across our land, even reformed churches, have turned the blind eye on the plight of minorities, encouraging racism through their silence behind the pulpits about the sinful nature of racism and segregation.

Our common history from the puritans to this day, shows the seed of racism in the churches. "As the Church goes, so does the nation", they say.

Why do we easily preached against other sins such as abortion, homosexuality, yet we have refrained to address with the same passion behind the pulpits as we should, our deeply cherished institutionalized sin of racism?

Had Jesus been alive today, he would probably have said "HYPOCRITES".

[AUTHOR]Unprofitable Servant[/AUTHOR]More than likely riots have little(in reality) to do with Trayvon Martin and are just gangs using the happenings in Florida as an excuse to restock their gun supplies and steal stuff to make some money. That would be my guess anyway.
"What can you do? Prayer is the first defense. It's often the only thing a church under fire requests. Ask the Lord to give wisdom to authorities in Somalia."

God be with His witness and work in Somalia. May He bless the Christians in their persecutions, struggle and faith.

Matt 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you."

"the Shouwang Church warned that police would likely detain those gathering at a set meeting site"

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
