Psalms 12:6-7 says, "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, than shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."
Matthew 24:35 says, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."
2 Timothy 3:15-16 says, "And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."
Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword."
2 Peter 1:20-21 says, "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man; but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."
What is that Book you hold in your hand?
Can't aurgue with that!

Now I don't know what you guys think but I don't believe the kjv is inspired,no translators were inspired, although greatly helped by the Lord.
I.believe divine inspiration ceased in AD 96 on the completion of the book of revelation.
God has providentially preserved his weird in Greek and Hebrew texts.
Dave, I would simply start with looking at how the bible defines the words inspiration and scripture, not a dictionary or other resources God did not promise to preserve. Don"t trust me either, God bless

But stop and think. Even if such a spurious document as the LXX really did exist, how could a Bible critic, who, in reference to the King James Bible, say that "No translation has the authority of the original language, " claim in the same breath that his pet LXX has equal authority with the Hebrew Original? This scholarly double-talk is nothing more than a self exalting authority striving to keep his scholarly position above those "unschooled in the original languages."
If you accept such an argument, I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn!
you nailed it! there are a lot of scholarly double-talking self exalting authorities selling bridges to gullible Christians everywhere.

"What then," one might ask, "of the numerous quotes in the New Testament of the Old Testament that are ascribed to the LXX?" The LXX they speak of is nothing more than the second column of Origen's Hexapia. The New Testament quotations are not quotes of any LXX or the Hexapla. They are the author, the Holy Spirit, taking the liberty of quoting His work in the Old Testament in whatever manner He wishes. And we can rest assured that He certainly is not quoting any non-existent Septuagint.
Only one more question arises. Then why are scholars so quick to accept the existence of this LXX in the face of such irrefutable arguments against it? The answer is sad and simple.
Hebrew is an extremely difficult language to learn. It takes years of study to attain a passing knowledge of it. And many more to be well enough versed to use it as a vehicle of study. By comparison a working knowledge of Greek is easily attainable. Thus, IF THERE WAS an official translation of the Old Testament into Greek, Bible critics could triple the field of influence overnight without a painstaking study of biblical Hebrew. Unfortunately, the acceptance of the existence of the Septuagint on such thin evidence is based solely on pride and voracity.". Well said.

I understand the kjvo and tr positions and would not spend my time arguing with them. But I would argue that my kjb would correct any the sinaiticus or alexandrinus manuscripts.

I believe the kjv has all the words translated the way he wants them. If God chooses to update the bible again, as he has (the last in 1769) he will.

There are plenty of authors in the bible that did not claim inspiration and yet they are there. The kjv translators did not claim inspiration but Job 32:8 states But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. So understanding is connected to inspiration as the bible says. This is not double inspiration , this is the Holy Spirit working through the translators that actually believe the word of God 1thess2:8 and preserved the words

A careful reading of the Old Testament and the days that Passover occurred will prove that Easter is the correct word.
