Yes, it does and I'd like to ask your forgiveness. I never responded to a question you asked on another thread as I stated I would. Then I said something to UPS that I should have said to you. Forgive me?

I gave you links that were exactly what I said, an education from which you would benefit.
Sorry Sir, I had read you post on Saturday in a hurry as my computer time was over and I didn't visit it again. I am not saying I do not need be educated in many regards, neither am I disagreeing with what Strat posted in regard to its substance or violation of a number of second table commandments not only the 8th. His wording is offensive to me, but maybe that is me and the decorum I'm comfortable with?

I have little computer time. I labor but not for money. I'll quote a line from my sermon of yesterday " Our confidence in God's mercy is not exactly and directly assaulted until the hour of our death **or the time of extraordinary trial.** (like the death of a loved one)
When the evil day comes, then the consciousness of our sin, whereunto we have been indulgent will be like a force to withdraw our assent from God's mercies, as the pleasure and delight we took was to cause us to transgress the commandment." T. Manton. I have experienced this and the Lord was reminding me of sin before conversion, sin that was not totally mortified though I think many would say I was keeping the 8th commandment by laboring at a lawful calli

The penman of Psalm 82 was inspired by the same Spirit as Psalm 119. "Lord I have hoped for thy salvation and done thy commandments" and the preceding verse, "Great peace have thy that love thy law and nothing can offend them."

Instructions or duties in the OT were given to a nation who to some degree and at some times more than others feared God and obeyed his word, not sinlessly but faithfully, their faith a grace based upon God's veracity concerning past, present and future things was of a greater compass than hope which is a grace based on good to come in the future. Their future hope was Christ to come.

Unless one interprets Scripture looking through the the lens of the past's inspired history, they cannot rightly apply NT Scripture to the present or future; the Scripture does not contradict itself.

I did not need to view the youtube videos UPS as I live with the very real consequences of living in an unjust nation as a justified sinner daily. I have been reading T. Watson 'Taking Heaven By Storm'. In the 17th century he lived in a nation that was not ashamed to knowledge Jesus Christ, as their Prophet, Priest and King at least for a season. M Henry quoted here lived at the same. You cannot apply their understanding to your times in a history void.

Psalm 82
1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.

2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

Isa. 58
13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure,** nor speaking thine own words**:

14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

Oh boy,my favorite...a self proclaimed bible scholar for whom even the simplest explanantion is insufficient.
There is no reason for the bible to condemn sin and pronounce judgement on it then tell people to support and encourage it with financial support to assist in the avoidance of the consequences of that sin....it is exactly what the atheist say, that the bible contradicts it's self.
Support the Godless and you are Godless.
Shocking, your statment is shockingly stupid and not worth responding to.
No Scholar a Student and I learn what you or anyone is really saying by asking questions. We are to test the spirits are we not? and wouldn't the word of God be the test. I've asked you questions based on my understanding of Scripture and you falsely accuse me, that is not good. This is a day of religious pluralism and we must understand what the Scripture teaches in order to avoid the false teachers that abound on every side, whether in the pulpit or pews, false teaching is dangerous. We all err and it is the reading of the Word that helps us to help one another to avoid error together with preaching, meditation, prayer, self examination and Christian conversation. I know what you don't like but have no idea what you believe.

Being poor in America is considered rich in many countries where people despite any hard work or effort have nothing because there is nothing to have, these are the poor of the bible.
there are of course exceptions, biblical exceptions and we should care for them...the rest are a joke.
Do you believe that only hard work and the fear of GOD and obedience to His moral law is necessary to qualify one to be the righteous poor? or that only in a land that has many possessions one cannot be righteously poor?

Where would one expect to find these righteous poor exceptions in any nation? and why would they be unable to be part of a Welfare State? or the political franchise?

If we be a part-taker in other mens' sins we will be a partaker in their plagues according to the Scripture, is that what you are saying?. You have amplified violations of the second table of the law (You believe that only Christ PERFECTLY fulfilled it, Yes? Romans 3:20-31) What about violations of the first table, sins against GOD? Can we be a partaker in other mens' sins against God? If so how?

Who would disagree with the Scripture? Yet it must have a right application and there is this to consider. "Thy brethren" "poor brother" This is a law for a covenanted nation whose leadership was appointed by God and his people. This was addressed to leaders who feared GOD and hated covetousness under the leadership of Moses and the seventy and later Joshua. This law was acknowledged as the law of the land because it was the law of their God and they were not ashamed to own Him, for a season. God has always preserved a remnant even in time of apostasy.

Christians are not ashamed to own Him. John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

I am grieved at a nation and the individuals in it, who are professing Christians who will not acknowledge Jesus Christ as their Prophet, Priest and King and like the Pharisees of old join with the Herodians in the persecution of the Truth. Mark 3:6
