Perhaps, there is one agreement on this thread, is that the TNIV and later versions are bad versions of the Bible.

The problem of the Scottish church is that they don't care for God's revelation or its authority.

The question of one's stance on a single moral issue, which BTW many make on the basis of Scripture, is not apostasy, just because one doesn't happen to agree with it.
