As for the one who said... "The writer "John" of the book could not possibly have been the apostle John; thus the book is a forgery."
Oh... okay... since YOU said its a forgery it must be so, what was I thinking?!? (note of sarcasm intended).
I would be very careful in what you claim is or is not scripture, especially in light of these scriptures...
"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book." Rev 22:18-19
No offense but all the other people I have heard who say that "The Revelation of Jesus Christ", &/or other passages, are not scripture, has proven to be false teacher/s who deny Christ's deity, authority and power, or present a message different from the message of the rest of the NT.
Take care & God bless,
p.s. check out my youtube videos about evangelism and some vids showing the difference between false teachings of men vs God's word. Peace
Part 3 Hopefully the full message of salvation is preached regardless of intent. I dont see in the bible where we should sensationalize the message or presentation. We have been called to preach the gospel & witness one-to-one (which is statistically the most effective method anyway - isnt it amazing how God knows what is the most effective method of outreach is). If its just about getting numbers then use man's methods, if you want God to converts a soul, use His method. Sure God's method doesnt bring in big numbers but its about quality and not quantity.
When Jesus preached it wasnt sensational or watered down - His message was straight to the point... you have offended God by your sin, your have to pay a penalty for that, but there is nothing you can do to be acceptable to God, so that is why God sent His son as an acceptable sacrifice for your sin. Now God's love is unconditional but His forgiveness is very conditional... you must repent, confess, believe & follow Jesus Christ.
I just hope that more people take the gospel message into their world as the bible commands - remember Jesus said that those who love Him, obey His commands.
Take care & God bless,

Part 2 It makes me wonder about man's methods. Especially since whatever it takes to bring them in to church, is what it takes to keep them (IOW we have to keep using sensationalism to keep the people in church). As disturbing as this is we cannot say that its all for nought (God works despite our human intentions, methods & faults).
Philippians 1:15-18 says "It is true that some preach Christ out of envy & rivalry, but others out of goodwill. The latter do so in love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice."
Part 1 The problem with Enter-vangelism (entertainment + evangelism) is that it focuses on hype & sensationalism to draw people to God, instead of witnessing and letting God draw all men to Him as the bible states.
I remember an article about the Power Team, the first big bodybuilding christian enter-vangelism group (Team Impact actually sprouted out of them). They do extensive market research of your area then quote how many people will pray for salvation as a result of their appearance... all for the low, low price of $50,000.
I dont see why this is a big problem - just use the farmer's name, then convert it to some numerical value... and its done. The farmer has his name, and the government can easily track and control disease outbreaks.
I find it funny when people start saying that "the sky is falling, the end is near" whenever anyone wants to label something with a number.
Its sad that lots of people spend more time writting and worrying about the mark of the beast but never obey the command to witness to the lost around them.
Statistically death is a far greater concern than anything else - over 150,000 people die each year. Most are not "saved". So the question is... do we concern ourselves about numbers, which will all pass away, or do we concentrate on the things that have eternal consequences like witnessing to the lost?

"Braveheart" or "Bruce Almighty" and other secular movie clips?!?! you have got to be kidding me.
Nothing like making murder, revenge and blasphemy a staple of the church to teach truth... NOT!
As for the comment "There's not a lot of difference between a church and a movie theater. Worship services are focused around storytelling." This is so wrong its not even funny. Theaters/movies are for amusement (keep in mind that "muse" means to think and contemplate; "A" is used to show the opposite of a thing = so a+muse means to not think). As for indicating that worship is about storytelling and not worshipping and praising God, this just shows how people are changing the definitions that God put in place and are trying to make church amusing and attractive instead of preaching the whole message of salvation (which according to scripture is not that amusing or attractive).
RCC doctrine states that there are others besides Jesus Christ who can forgive sin.
RCC catechism states that the Catholic Church has the power to forgive sin. It also states that baptism forgives sin (and the penatly for sin). Then RCC catechism states that their priests can forgive sins in Jesus name.
Scripture says that there is only one name under heaven that can forgive sin... Jesus Christ.
Truly the RCC is preaching a different gospel IMO. I mean come on, if you get the majority of your doctrine from books other than the bible (vatican 1 & 2) that should give you a clue that your heading in the wrong direction.
My advice, compare what anyone says against God's word, the bible. If it doesnt stack up, then toss it.
Korea has very strict gun laws - its hard to own any type of gun. The result is less violent crimes are committed with guns. Stats show that this type of gun control reduces more crimes than those countries with guns.
I lived overseas for over 12 years and gun control is good if done right. The problems with the U.S. is that you cant go back and take guns away, as that is your right by law.
Its not a big deal for me, just stating what I have seen.
Welcome to a kinder & politically correct military. I dont think that dictating tattoos is what is really needed in our armed forces. Tatts have always been a fixture in our military, and if one puts their life on the line for our freedom, then I say let them get what they want.
As for whether a christian should get a tattoo, at best I would say its a waste of money and maybe vain (but this is more of a personal conviction IMO. This coming from a guy with a full sleeve.
I like people who quote Lev as their authority, but discount the other 612 other OT laws. Folks we are in a new covenant now.
Like I said, getting a tatt is probably not the best use of one's money, but as we get older, we do get wiser. I used to want an entire body suit, but the more I get into His word, I find that urge wanning.
Those that yell about homosexual agendas and other similar problems should know that the best solution is to preach to these people in love and gentleness about the judgment we will all face (the bad news). The good news is that God provided a way for mankind to escape that penalty (hell) thru Jesus Christ our Lord, IF we repent, confess, believe and follow Him.
If America continues to make laws that will take away our freedom to speak God's word, it will do a couple of things. One, it will separate the wheat from the chaff... we will see who the real christians are; those that obey the word of God vs those that water down the word under the guise of unity and political correctness. Two, it will build up the "modern church" with false converts.
Hopefully those that love Him will obey His commands.
If you havent gone out witnessing verbally - not the living the good christian life (hoping someone will ask you about why you are different) & putting a christian bumper sticker on your car, you had better start while its still easy.
This does not surprise me. America has been sheltered so long from persecution and now it finally turning around a wee bit.
Now it the time to not only voice that this policy is wrong, but more importantly to verbally voice the gospel to the lost. If history is any indicator of future events, we can be sure that American will decline more over time, so the command to witness & testify that Jesus Christ is the only way is paramount. After all the great commission is a command for all to follow.... to be cont.
