Carmichael, Elliot, Moon and 1000s of other Christian ladies who are sharing the Gospel across every continent are ineffective instruments in God's hands?

If this word gets out it could really put a crimp on the missionary movement since a large percentage of them are female.

God help the unbelieving man who is stranded on a deserted island and the only person to reach him is a Christian missionary.

Neither Carmichael nor Elliot taught the Gospel to many savages "over there"? The many men under their teaching could never be saved merely because these two ladies aren't also men? Balderdash!

When a woman's completely alone sharing the Gospel with men, women and children in a foreign land, then she's not "usurping authority over the man"? But when she returns home and senses a calling to continue to teach and preach, then she's somehow usurping someone's "authority"? Why do you think she's usurping "here" but never "over there"?

You allow an unprotected female private to "fight the good fight" on the front lines of international missions and likely die a martyr's death, but when your daughter grows up, becomes fully credentialed, she can never become a pastor, preacher or minister in God's Army just because she has the "wrong" anatomy? This is rank hypocrisy.

No its just that I trust in God and follow His word by faith. I believe that His Word actually means what it says and I dont try to interpret it to fit my lifestyle. Jesus said why do you call me Lord Lord and not do the things I told you.

Piper doesn't complain about sending single Christian women to the front lines, and even celebrates them by encouraging girls to read their memoirs, but when these girls grow up and pursue godly degrees (M.Div., Ph.D.), they can't use them in his church?

Walk around college and seminary campuses these days. For every man there are two women. And these women have been called to senior leadership roles in every other sector.

This is a secondary issue like the KJV-only, NASB vs. ESV debate. We can vigorously debate but may never divide over it.

It's just a matter of time before Piper yields to the finest female preachers at his church. Until he does the sound of the restless clicking high heels in the pews will intensify.

Are you serious? You're comparing women to a little child. Why don't you move to Afghanistan and ensure your wives' burqas are on?

Christian women have been teaching to and sharing the Gospel with 1,000s "over there" for decades but, for some reason, can't preach to 100 in a Baptist church on Elm Street on Sunday morning. Where's the logic?

This is protectionist neanderthal thinking!

Amy Carmichael and Elisabeth Elliot can risk life and limb, go it "alone" (no men with them) and share the Gospel with 100s of natives in their international missions callings but they can't share the Gospel from behind a lectern each week back home in America? Why can so many Christian ladies lead men, women and children to the Lord "overseas" in a foreign tongue but must keep their native tongue still if in the U.S. in a room someone labeled a "sanctuary"?

There are 10,000s of conservative women with earned M.Divs. and Ph.Ds. from the finest seminaries, why may they teach in every other arena (Sunday School, books, CDs, DVDs, TV, radio, online, blogs, SermonAudio, etc), but can never be called to be a teacher/minister?

If a pastor's wife has an M.Div., can she not preach when he's sick or out of town?

If you have two pastoral candidates, a male and female M.Div. side-by-side, and she has better grades, and far better communication skills at every level, is in total agreement with your creed or statement of faith and haw lower salary requirements, is your church going to discriminate against her and hire him?

Or perhaps you're only open to male candidates. Either way, unless you avoid even the appearance of discrimination, a lawsuit is likely headed your church's wa
