“ Wow! ” Sit your kids down when they're awake and focused on you. Sit your wife down with you. Perhaps two nights, since it's long. You will understand the cross when it's done. I apologize for him not using the King James, but at least he highlights Jesus as the only 'begotten' son.
Application to you and your family's lives? All the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to Thy blood.
In light of His taking God's wrath for you, everything else is vain and stupid and unwise. Every ambition that doesn't have Christ at it's very center . . is high treason. In this horrid, vile, perverted, twisted world, why would you set your heart on any hero, when you have such a Victor. Don't waste your life.
“ WOW! MUST hear ” This sermon 'clearly' shows from the Bible why some get saved and some don't, according to the Bible, and not the easy believism of today. He does it so gently, I was in shock, but he showed man's spiritual death, will and need of God in a way that your kids will understand. This is old fashioned preaching that has been the basis of every great revival.
