It's really pretty simple and Paul even covers it in his meat sacrificed to idols discussion. Since you obviously don't know where every dollar you spend goes, that's ok. But as soon as you do know, you have crossed the ignorant line and must follow your conscience. For me, if I have an option to shop at a place that supports my values, then I will go there. Christopher, I think you are right on. Books are simply the teachings of men in the written form. I wonder if those who are against them listen to sermons? Also, why would there be a spiritual gift of teaching if it was unnecessary? You are right, also, that we have to exercise discernment in whose teaching and writings we put ourselves under.

If they really wanted to kill it, they would not only make it legal, but start to let it become mainstream and give them tax breaks. After a few years they can get them interested in social issues and before you know it they would've ordaining women and homosexuals. It has done wonders here in the US.

That's an easy question to answer Christopher. Just look into the immigration problem between Guatamala and Mexico. The Mexican govt. puts the Guatemalans in jail.
A little known fact about Islamic culture is that homosexuality runs rampant. Pedophilia is especially a problem. So while they may be against it as a religion, they really have no problem with it practically.
Rev James, What if they were taking the kids to the Mormon temple or the local Kingdom Hall of JW's. to see a play. I think I would want to know more about where my kid was going and what they believed. It seems to me that we could avoid all these problems and just homeschool our children, it's high time we as Christians abandoned this state run propaganda system that we call public education.
Don't worry Scott. The state run education system is more concerned with teaching kids about having two daddys than they are about math. The state lotteries have nothing to worry about.
