It's really pretty simple and Paul even covers it in his meat sacrificed to idols discussion. Since you obviously don't know where every dollar you spend goes, that's ok. But as soon as you do know, you have crossed the ignorant line and must follow your conscience. For me, if I have an option to shop at a place that supports my values, then I will go there. If I'm left with no option then I do what I have to do. By the way, when did designer coffee become a necessity. Save yourself a lot of money and go buy a coffee maker or espresso machine and then donate the rest to a missionary
Christopher, I think you are right on. Books are simply the teachings of men in the written form. I wonder if those who are against them listen to sermons? Also, why would there be a spiritual gift of teaching if it was unnecessary? You are right, also, that we have to exercise discernment in whose teaching and writings we put ourselves under.
Of course they had all of the homosexual marriage supporters on, they are all complicit in pushing Anerica over the precipice. I really feel like we are being judged as a nation and things are going to get much much worse.
Another one bites the dust. I guess we can add Palau to the Rick Warren list of sold out celebrity pastors. This new pope will be great if he repents of his idolatry and teaching a false gospel and turns to Christ through faith. I'm pretty sure all those anathema declarations on Protestants are still in effect as well.
If they really wanted to kill it, they would not only make it legal, but start to let it become mainstream and give them tax breaks. After a few years they can get them interested in social issues and before you know it they would've ordaining women and homosexuals. It has done wonders here in the US.
Amazing indeed Christopher. How quickly we are to forget the blood that was spilled in order to pass on the unadulterated gospel and the Word of God. Will our generation be like that generation after Joshua died?
