“ Great Sermon! ”
What a dynamic preacher! What an anointed word! This sermon blessed my heart. As usual, there's a lot of spiritual meat to digest and make one think. My only concern is that I've noticed Dr. Baldwin has begun to appeal to the Greek during his sermons. Using the King James alone is more than sufficient. I remember an old time preacher said: "The English AKJV sheds more advanced revelation and light on any topic than any Greek dictionary or lexicon every could.

Wow! So powerful a message. It gave me a more in depth understanding of what RCC teaches and why family members are so caught up in its demonic practices. Praying for courage to just go ahead and share with them and entrust the outcome to God.

I stumbled across this message on Sermon.Audio. I have listened to quite a few of your messages. I am amazed at the gift God has given you. You are an excellent Bible expositor. I'm getting fed in between church services. A sermon a day, keeps the Devil away. Stay committed, God Bless. Your Sister in Christ Sue

I'm sure all you say is true, but I wish I had the faith to believe it. It seems my mouth is locked shut. How do I get it open?

The problem with Lifeway Surveying is their sampling methodology and size (too small for validity). Now, a little cynicism, not many churchgoing folk are comfortable in examing their personal idolatry. And, where they may not miss the service , 'they gots their running shoes on to get out the door' and invariably begin squirming in their seat and checking their watch a good 30 min before ordinary end time. I'd rather they stay home then rush The Holy Spirit with His Ministry and work during praise and worship--- thanksgiving. The entire Sabbath is to be devoted to study, communion with God.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Pastor Peacock, Just want you to know that I'm being blessed by your preaching. I have always enjoyed Peter Ruckman and I stumbled across your preaching by accident. Now, I'm hooked. What a blessing. I listen to at least 3-5 sermons per week and am blessed. God bless you and continue to strengthen you to do his will and preach the Word (KJV 1611). Thanks, Sue

“ The Authority ”
God's Word is the authority. And persons in a God-centered relationship, teach Scriptural Truths. They become credentialed, are earnest scholars and become experts in the field of theology through years of study. As they teach, they construct the teaching framework and lesson plan from these studies. Where they don't know something or they must inject best research supposition, they are intellectually honest with their students, congregants by stating what is opinion. I gladly mull over the words and opinions of teachers who are studied. I don't have to accept or believe each of their opines. I have respect for their efforts where they have provided illumination and inspiration. A teacher isn't necessarily someone with a slew of letters behind their names, those are SME, they may teach or not.

Sermon:
Mark Driscoll and Plagiarism
Trevor Hammack

“ Great Sermon! ”
Your presentations are always outstanding and informative. As far as Mark Driscoll and plagiarism goes, if he in fact used others' ideas, he should 'man up.' One of the problems here is that church leaders and members may not understand plagiarism as an issue of character as it is more and more common for clergy to use those pre-packaged sermon plans, curricula and may treat such teaching as 'share ware.' This is not the only area in which the church infringes copyright; eg. the area of worship music. Pastor Driscoll was also brought up in another sermon as far as selling out on the Doctrine of the Trinity--- embracing sebellianism or modalism.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Being faithful, walking with God, living bituel (bitul), being cleansed in living water and being reclothed in the precious things of God AND being mindfiul, thoughtful, educated and intellectual, understanding the cultural context, history, foundations of natural law and so forth ARE NOT mutually exclusive. Christians may be, should be both. But , like most institutional constructs, the Church has been 'dumbed down' and stunted, mostly be egotistical and arrogant attitudes. The reason millenials and others are leaving the Church, is as you say, they know it is 'not real'; the Church, refuses to embrace all things of God-- it is stuck in the mire of poor leadership--- as you said in another broadcast, where most Sunday School teachers would fail even a basic biblical quiz. Now, that is real! Get the Church vessel in order, God deserves the effort.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Trevor-- a Church is a 501-- it is tax-payer subsidized and held to the highest of standards by govt and an even higher standard God. The pastor as the CEO serves at the will and pleasure of God and the Board -- the problem here is too few people know and understand 501 governance and law. The pastor, in good accord, is totally responsible for operations and this includes the entirety of administration. Churches that continue haphazard governance are crippling the good work in getting the Good News out and spreading more fodder for the faithless, hey look at those 'yawhos' trying to lead people to The Lord. Management and stewardship are important to the Kingdom. That said, the church naysayers need to be squelched by their peers -/- they are bullies and tyrants.

“ Interesting ”
Hi Trevor-- it is true that as Christians we should try to not practice or indulge in anything that is offensive to God. Further, to indulge at the exclusion of time with God's Word would bring yetzer hara or judgment; Perry Stone relayed a story of an African goddess that needed to be discarded. There is the phenomenon of a turn-for-a-turn. I not superstitious but I do know that for the elected or for someone in spiritual concord with God , great sensitivity is required. I Lennon vintage items; but find that some items are not mine to keep; my sense is that the item belonged to a 'person dead in Christ'.

Every week I say this is Pastors best sermon yet! Right on with the TRUTH and the application thereof. The Word brings life for sure! "If repentence doesn't hurt, it is not repentence". Amen. Keep bringing it, we (I) need this desperately.
