“ Preached words & God's speech shape our reality ”
All Pastors/Preachers/Teachers, and Listeners will benefit greatly from this intense and fascinating teaching about God & words, human beings & language/speech/words, and the realities created. For example: Satan's words against God's words created a different reality for Adam. Adam's choice intended to create a new reality for himself. God's curse of spoken words created yet another reality for Adam. I can't possibly do this wonderful, powerful teaching justice here. I learned so much from the history and insights about Luther and Calvin concerning the preaching of God's word. It is astonishing to learn how good preaching in the pulpit properly CONFRONTS us because God confronts us, and reshapes the faulty worldly realities in our hearts & minds. All week long most of us are vulnerable to pollution from the world, and then on the bless-ed Lord's Day the preaching should realign us to God's reality. Language & speech & words are how God communicates. Our words also create good or bad realities. (Additionally, the way he pronounces almost everythingk endingk with a 'g' except for the word preaching, is entertainingk. Though, everythingk he thinks is interestingk). All 4 teachings of his about scripture, early history & reformation schema from the SCRBPC 2014 are exemplary. Thankgs |

“ Outstanding & thorough teaching exposing tradition ”
There are so many people I wish we could force to listen, really listen to this teaching of Jesus' regarding traditions and hypocrites verses the truth, the Word of God, especially Catholics and others Rev Watson mentions. Though, sadly, the entire time I was listening to this I could not help remembering what Christian friends of mine from various error filled churches including Pentecostal, Charismatic, Word of Faith, Non-denominational "Rock Concert" & lone ranger congregations, etc; who consider "Denominations" to be of the devil, and consider our Confessions of Faith and Creeds and Reformed Theology/Doctrine to be the traditions of men that Jesus is exposing here in Matthew 15:1-9. It is just so sad because they will criticize us without reading any of those documents and refuse to listen. These friends of mine are unteachable and brainwashed. All I can do is pray for them. |

“ Fearsome & Important Message ”
It is sobering, awfully sobering, yet abundantly clear throughout scripture, and even by Jesus' own words when he walked the earth that Christ rejects those who reject Him. We must all pray & pray & pray for churches who falsely think themselves to be Christ's, but have abandoned Christ (and his Gospel) just as the cities of Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum did whom Christ curses in these verses from Matthew 11:20-24. And more fearsome it is that Jesus tells them it will be even worse for them than Tyre and Sidon, and then it is even more fearsome that Jesus tells them "it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for you." (NASB translation) |

“ Surprising Sermon! and amazing breadth! ”
All ages, even young children will benefit from this surprising sermon. Have heard this twice and plan to hear it at least twice more! Though this sermon is an integral part of Rev Watson's Matthew Series, it is also an important "Stand Alone" message. He addresses every level at different phases in this sermon in remarkable ways. Old folk & mature Christians will LOVE this ... but ... young children will benefit greatly from certain choice parts; and also adolescents, teen-agers, and young adults in other parts. Never forget that We are the paralytics! All of us who are saved were spiritual paralytics. This is a short list of the Theology covered: Justification, FORGIVENESS, Spiritual healing verses physical healing, Christ's Divinity, Properties of Divinity, a complex Gospel message and then also includes a simple Gospel message for the young! And, then finally, the best part for we Christians is the last 10 minutes where Rev Watson includes a huge booster shot for believers (and against Satan's devices) regarding the doctrine of ASSURANCE. Oh how I personally needed to hear this part about assurance! THANK YOU PREACHER and THANK YOU JESUS (-: |

“ Exemplary study of Temptation ”
I learned much from this and highly recommend it. Rev Watson explains what Jesus went through and then teaches us how to deal with each particular temptation we encounter immediately! in particular ways, as follows: 1) Know the Word intimately concerning the particular temptation and also besetting sins 2) Apply the Word of God accurately toward the temptation as Jesus did and exampled for us 3) OBEY IMMEDIATELY THE WORD! Delayed obedience equals disobedience! Additionally, what Rev Watson taught about Ephesian 6:17 regarding the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God is actually a short knife, a special kind of weapon for close combat, to be used skillfully and accurately to destroy the opponent, and also, just as Jesus did, we must use the particular Word of God that applies to the particular kind of temptation (not the whole Word of God, but the accurate Scripture pertaining to the kind of temptation to sin). Finally, we are reminded of the 3 primary categories of sin that befell our first parents but that the second and last Adam, Jesus Christ, emerged victorious after temptations in these 3 main headings of sin categories: 1) Lust of the Flesh 2) Pride of Life 3) Lust of the Eyes THANK YOU FOR THIS POWERFUL SERMON THAT HAS FURTHER ARMED ME IN BATTLE. |
