There are things you can do to improve the audio quality of even a low bitrate MP3. Take a listen to the following sermon for an example of a well-encoded MP3 which sounds very good even at 16kbps: http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?sermonID=6723 There are many reasons why we require the lower 16kbps bitrate for all sermons uploaded to SermonAudio. The basic idea you need to keep in mind is that the Transfer Agent works in conjunction with the "My Favorite Sermons" list on SermonAudio. You will need to tag sermons to your favorites list in order for them to show up in the Transfer Agent. As I was perusing some of the speakers and messages here, I came across a woman preacher here on Sermon Audio. I feel just awful that women preachers are permitted to post their messages on S.A. I believe the Bible is very, very clear about women not to have authority, etc. over men. They must remain silent in the local church. I just feel awful. To be clear, we do not allow for women preachers/pastors on the site. The list of speakers on the first page of the Sermons by Speaker section shows the primary speaker of the broadcasters on the site.
