Having done some web work for churches and other evangelistic outreaches I have full sympathy with the situation encountered by Steven. While my projects have been on a minor scale compared with SermonAudio the frustration and stress caused by a server, database or script problem that renders a site inoperable is immense. Scale that up to the complexity of SermonAudio and I dread to think how Steven was feeling!
Sadly the time commitment and talent that is INVESTED in an enterprise such as SA or other evangelistic internet ministries is rarely appreciated by the majority of end-users. The true eternal value of a carefully utilised technology in the distribution of message of the Gospel will only be revealed by eternity.
Because of these 'miserable computers' we have seen the boundaries of our own church ministry expanded to the four corners of the earth and believers edified and blessed as a consequence.
Perhaps that is the perspective that is required here. SermonAudio is at the cutting edge of evangelical web broadcasting. Let us realise the true potential of this endeavour and quell any temptation for misinformed, discouraging comment.
I am saddened by the position so called christains have put Dr.Paisley in. The selfrighteous hiprocrites who speak evil of Dr.Paisley will have to answer to God for touching God's annointed.Dr.Paisley is a spiritual giant amongst the spiritual pigmy's that speak against him. We all owe Dr.Paisley so much in Ulster in the spiritual arena and political sphere and those who speak against him for doing nothing wrong would not know were to do in his position. I feel there are even some ministers of the word??? who would rather speak ill of a Godly Moderator than pray for him. May God Bless Dr.Ian Paisley and keep him safe from the lying lips of the devil's disciples
I read pete's comment about dr.paisley and had to laugh at a so called informed statement coming from an american who does not live in our province he obivously gets his information/disimformation from the papist backed media of the united states. but its the usual american knowall comment which comes from a country which spawns somuch sodomites and and apostates unto the rest of the world.
Has the Free Presbyterian Church made its position clear? What does it believe about its members funding Sodomite groups? Does it stand by its 1998 statement that it is "unscriptural" for unrepentant terrorists to be in government? What are we to make of the suggestion on the News Letter (Northern Ireland) website that Dr Paisley in an interview on Saturday 8th September said he was given a standing ovation at the end of the Presbytery meeting? Is it not time for the Free Presbyterian Church to simply state what the scriptures say on these issues, rather than try to patch together compromises in order to avoid a split in the denomination?
sorry to see dr. paisley step down as moderator.he is a man called of god to such a time as this especially for ulster.may god continue to bless his ministry and may all true born again believers continue to pray for him and thank god for sending us a modern day elijah.
If you take the time you will notice that in the Vatican are many paintings with the crescent moon in them. Also notice that in the Vatican 2 dossier it states that 'because Muslims believe in one God they are saved'. However there are still over 100 things that protestants do that make them unsaved [according to Vatican 2]. Catholics basically follow the old Babylonian religion. Study history and then look at a catechism.
