Great Sermon! I was very much blessed by this conference on God’s revival en Kilsyth and Dundee. Oh, that He would move amongst us in the West and substitute the shallow entertainment that purports to be Christianity with Godly preaching watered with abundant prayer.
Rev. William Macleod makes reference to William Burn’s biography written by his brother Islay Burns which makes for great reading. A copy can be found on Internet using a search engine.
Great Sermon! A tremendous message from Dr. Ian Paisley. How often we take for granted who our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is whilst we sojourn in this world with all its distractions. Jesus Christ presented from before eternity and throughout history from a scriptural point of view. It is not the limp-wristed powerless caricature “Jesus” bandied about in most evangelical circles nowadays, but the Creator and Redeemer - our all in all, who is reflected in this wonderful sermon.
Great Sermon! As always a tremendous exposition by Pastor Albert Martin on the rending of the veil in two. A reminder for us as believers of God's wondrous grace and work through His Son Jesus Christ. An invitation to unbelievers to come to Christ. A warning to false religion, especially the Romanist religion, to not sew up what God has torn apart.
A much need sermon! Thank you pastor for such a studied and especially biblical exposition on C. S. Lewis’ shameful life and corrupt writings. It is scary that the majority of church members in the West have been taken in by this wolf in sheep’s clothing; an obvious sign that the Word of God is not being read in the home or preached from the pulpits and that folks and pastors rather yearn for being accepted by this fallen world.
Why the need to send children to movie theatres? If Hollywood, Disney etc are corrupt why this insistence in western countries of sending Christian children to theatres and movies? Surely the best remedy is for them to stay away. It seems much time is spent analysing movies because there is some kind of compulsive need to entertain children with worldly productions and of course they have to be duly protected. Be done with it! Don’t send them there in the first place!
Informative broadcast Whilst listening to this broadcast that has zeroed in on homosexual acceptance amongst some so called Christians, especially from the CCM Christian Contemporary Music crowd, my thoughts kept on drifting to: “perhaps someone will put two and two together and realise that CCM is a non-starter for Christians and that it will serve of no use at all to our children and youth”.
For just over a decade I was involved in a very small way in the CCM scene, recording Christian musicians. My memories of those years (prior to the moment when my convictions before the Lord took me out of that scenario) were of recording some very prideful folk behaving like “prima-donnas” – many being wannabes of their “Christian” pop heroes.
Just before that time and whilst at Bible School way back in 85, I was hearing the name Amy Grant mentioned and talked about in the classes and corridors more than our Lord Jesus Christ. So I was interested to hear how this broadcast gradually ended up on addressing CCM given Kevin Swanson’s past experience in that realm. I would however, not have any qualms of throwing out the baby with the bathwater.
If one keeps on feeding CCM to our children and youth – don’t be surprised afterwards at the results, especially with regards to pride.
Great way to start the New Year A wonderful way to start the New Year, so that we take onboard a more involved, more dedicated more conscience effort with regards to our prayer life. J.R. Miller in this short extract encourages us to put into practise daily, every minute, every second, the necessity of praying at all times and in all places. He shows us it can be done – but will we do it?!
Great Sermon! A stirring sermon on the necessity of belief on the Lord Jesus Christ and a solemn warning to those that would continue in the folly of their incredulity. Going hand in hand with repentance, it is a very timely exposition of God’s word in these times of easy believism.
Great Sermon! I have been so saddened to hear the way Family Radio has gone off the tracks... I used to listen to it many years ago on shortwave radio as a youngster before getting involved in Christian broadcasting. I am distressed about the thousands of listeners being deceived by this false prophet. Gracia, Verdad & Vida radio programmes. www.rubensarrion.com
A much needed sermon! Thank you brother Phil for speaking out loudly and clearly against the diabolical tendency of using foul and kinky language from the pulpit, stage or wherever these "actors" perform from.
From Spain with love,
