Flidgard wrote: The Roman Catholic organisation became such an idolatous, blasphemous deceiver that the Lord ordained the Reformation, whereby He removed His Church and disciples and brought them to Scripture law, precept and doctrines. Therefore only after the Church, itself, excommunicated him by a papal bull -- he was saved? |

According to the latest technical research, Paul was neither anti-Jew nor anti-works:"The Paul We Think We Know: How his 21st-century evangelical makeover distorts the New Testament reality." "First-century Judaism didn't have a legalism problem; it had an ethnocentrism problem." "The misconception about Paul with the longest historical pedigree is that he was anti-Jewish. Many imagine that after his Damascus Road experience, Paul immediately rejected Judaism and embraced Christianity." The OT Jew had faith in the unknown messiah who was to come, was obedient to and dependent to YHWH for his day-to-day sustenance and salvation. This OT salvation process is no different than that of the NT. |
