Unprofitable Servant wrote: How about these verses. Exodus 15:1, Numbers 21:17; Judges 5:3; I Chronicles 16:23,33 Job 35:10 and Revelation 15:3. Still waiting for the uninspired hymn users to provide us with the authority for ditching God's ordained praise in the book of Psalms in favour of using sinners compositions from the 17th/18th century. God's purpose in providentially and gracefully providing His followers with the Bible including the Psalms was to bring them into likemindedness with Christ Jesus. To teach sound doctrine. To help us reach into the divine mind. Ups wrote: that God only accepts psalms as acceptable songs in worship God ONLY wrote ONE Bible. God ONLY wrote ONE praise Book. You have absolutely zero authority to authorise human uninspired compositions to replace the Word of God. It is very revealing that the RCC's the Anglicans, the Liberals and the JW's worship in the same way as you hymn singers do. By your premise of replacing the Book which God wrote by a human composition how many other books of the Bible do you replace? Do you know WHY God wrote the Bible? Do you understand inspiration and why God gives it existence? 2Tim 3:16. |

Michael Hranek wrote: Tell Him all about how you don't believe in His Sovereign Promises, the Sovereign Convicting work of the Holy Spirit You are the one who is downgrading "sovereignty" Michael.Michael wrote. "Calvinists that they teach against and malign the thought of the world in John 3:16 meaning anything other than their definition the "elect"" Translation::- Michael does not believe in "election." Michael wrote. "They way some Calvinist/Reformed tell it if God regenerates you then you will do this or that" Translation::- Michael believes regeneration doesn't make any difference in the sinner. In other words Michael what you preach is that being born again changes nothing in the sinner, what you want is the sinner-action self-help salvation Roman Catholic (arminian) style. Michael goes on to say below quote; "if you trust His word to be the Truth and because of it call upon His name to be saved that He will honor His Promise" - This in opposition to regeneration. You are peddling salvation by works and the removal of God's work and the Holy Spirit. |

John for Jesus wrote: (A) Eph 1:4-5 doesn't mention the word elect or faith.(B) God predestined us (in Christ) to adoption as sons through Jesus The Greek word (eklegomai) for elect is translated as "chosen" in v4. But it is the same word. When you elect your president you chose him, get it??God is not choosing the divine soccer team here in Eph 1:4,5. He is describing the beginning of election before the foundation of the world. The word "Faith" is not the point I was making. IE Election - "PRE-DATES" - faith. The teaching of these verses is when election began in divine hands. "Predestination" - The elect are predestinated the rest are reprobated. Who do you think HE predestinates - The divine soccer team again??? John for Jesus wrote: Nonbelievers are definitely not in Christ. The ability to believe is provided by the Holy Spirit, that is the work of the Spirit after calling and regeneration. Before this divine work the sinner is dead in sin, at enmity with God and cannot discern anything spiritually. This is what the Bible teaches. Your works based religion like the Roman Catholic one is pure heresy and the blasphemous conviction that the sinner can do what God can do. |
