Great Sermon! btw, I heard all my life that John Hancock's prominent signature on the Declaration of Independence proved he was an arrogant man. And some time recently I read that yes, he did make his signature that large knowingly, and on purpose, and proudly too -- but it wasn't for himself. The Declaration had yet to be delivered to the Congress, and should the British intercept it before it could be, Hancock wanted them to know who to come for. The size was like a red flag to a bull. As a traitor to England, he knowingly signed his own death warrant. With purpose, he was willing to die alone for what he believed. And he was proud to let the Brits know it. Don't you sometimes wish Christians would be as arrogant?
Great Sermon! That would make an interesting plot device: What if someone found out how to tell ahead of time which people were saved, and which were damned? How would it affect how he treated them? What if the person were a doctor, or president, or a general? What if you knew your own children were or weren't? How would the public treat him?
Great Sermon! Brother Russ, I have so much enjoyed this "system-shattering" series. And your humble, knowledgable way of presenting the TRUTH makes the message tangible and approachable to study.I'm doing what I can to pass it on to others. Thanks be to GOD MOST HIGH for the work HE does in you and through you for our benefit. Love you, my brother, and gratefully appreciate you.In Jesus Christ, keep the TRUTH going. It's a great light whereby we can see through the thick darkness that's been woven over this world! Shine on! : )
Great Sermon! What a stirring message! I'm so prone to worry, yet that isn't what God wants me to do. This sermon has provoked me to go to my knees when doubts & fears assail, rather than dwell in them. Thanking the Lord, brother, for you preaching it!
