Great Sermon! This sermon, well the whole book of Galatians, reminds me of what Jesus said in this verse, Matt. 11:28-30, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.β God asks us to love. I thought that would be so easy (a light burden)but when God opened my eyes to this truth, I've found over the years that it's the hardest of all to love with real, sincere, God like love. I praise and worship Jesus because He did what I can't do, He loved and loves perfectly, His love pleases our Father and that makes me rejoice. I wish I could be like Him, one day I will.
Great Sermon! Today is the last day of this Sunday school class. What a blessing its been!! If you haven't thought much about being adopted by God then the exposition of this chapter in the 1689 LBCF will do you good. Thank you Pastor Jeff, you'll be missed!
A Time of Change Excellent exposition of these verses. It's so important that we understand what happened that day. Three thousand souls saved, the power of God through His spirit and the word as God keeps His promises and fulfills His word. What a special day that was and yet the same miracle continues today as the dead are brought to life in the same way.
Great Sermon! I especially love to find Jesus in the Scriptures (every page) so I'm especially fond of this sermon that does just that. Show me Jesus, I want to see Him more and more. Praise God for pastors!
Great Sermon! I saw so many pictures of spritual truths in the lives of David and Mephibosheth because of this sermon. Mephibosheth...enemy to the king, called by the king, bowed before the king as a servant, received mercy and kindness freely from the king, was perpetually provide and protected through the means of the king, always had a place at the kings table as if the king's own son, and none of this because of anything he ever did only by his standing as Jonathan's son. Many wonderful things to see here that I would have missed if it were not for this sermon.
Great Sermon! From Isaiah to Revelation we see the amazing wisdom, justice and love of God. I didn't understand what Luke 23:31 meant, now I do, and I'm glad to understand that statement from Jesus. It's hard to believe that so much can be said about Jesus before the cross. Oh my, what love is this that our Lord Jesus should suffer and die for us.
Excellent Sermon! Pastor Marquedant asked a good question in this sermon, "What would tempt you to sell out Jesus for your own gain?" Something to think about. This series on the passion of Christ is so good and it's not even finished yet!
Don't Be Fooled by False Apostles! The distinguishing signs of an apostle need to be known by all of us so we're not deceived by false signs, wonders and mighty deeds. Also, the heart of the Apostle Paul is seen in these verses and should be the heart of every pastor, what love he had for God's people and our Lord Jesus Christ. The more he loved the less he was loved, but he pressed on.
Great Start to the life of King David! Outstanding start to a series that is going to be, on the edge of your seat, exciting. Already I'm learning valuable things I need to know. These things were written for our instruction.
Great Sermon! I'm learning a lot from this series on the covenants. I had thought that the covenant of redemption and the covenant of grace were one and the same. Boy was I wrong. I'm so glad to now know what these two covenants are and how they work.
Great Sermon! Hard pressed β yet not crushed, perplexed β but not in despair, persecuted β but not forsaken,
struck down β but not destroyed,Paul knew the truth of these promises first hand. This is an excellent sermon!
