Sermon:
What is a Good Minister?
Trevor Hammack
1
comment
“ To be a good minister you need something more ”
Pastor Trevor, you have been a wonderfully helpful influence to me. But is there something you might be overlooking in your emphasis for the year. ...but are you a minister of the gospel, a feeder of the children of the Lord, or are you a seminary professor? Im not asking you to stop doing anything you are doing, I am asking you to add the emphasis of prayer. No, not for you to pray, but for the people you are instructing to study ... THEY need to pray. Pray about what? Pray about whatever they learn from their study of course! And do so as soon as new light strikes them. Light, food, and incence... and the incense is whats right at the entrance to the holy of holies. Is that too symbolic? Must mean something dont you think? Brother, I dont think this is a small matter. What do you think would be more useful to the person who follows your instruction through the year?... 60 minutes of study, or 45 minutes of study followed by 15 minutes of focused prayer about what they learned? ... and if they have not learned anything that leads them to prayer, how useful was their time? ... Just a thought.

I like this too.

There is not a broad consensus of opinion within the scientific community that human activity causes global warming. Hence we, the general public, should not, and need not, accept it as fact.

As you can see the world continues to prepare itself for the antichrist and the tribulation period. The apostle John talks about that there are antichrists already in the world. jose luis is just one more example, but not the last. These type of people must come so that the end will come.

Christianity and Islam are both creedal. They both make truth claims. The truth claims of Christianity contradict those of Islam on many essential points, and vice versa. Since Islam came into existence after Christianity, it has many doctrines that intentionally and directly condemn essential Christian doctrines.

In declaring herself both Christian and Muslim, Rev. Redding denies and disrespects both. Therefore she is actually neither Christian nor Muslim.

Albert,

"Tell me did you hear his speach last year on the 12th july, were he said"the only way the IRA will get into government will be over my dead body"Now tell us was that a lie or not? and is he going to put the IRA into government in May?"

Did you hear the speech he made months earlier. That if Sinn Fein left their Criminality behind them and commited to democracy he would go into government with them?

Sinn Fein has made huge steps that i thought i would never see. I have heard Gerry Adams say things i thought he would never say such as "it is time for democracy, if you know of repulicians with guns go to the police"

What a change there has been. The DUP are not going into government with IRA. Sinn Fein has commited to Democracy an their actions of late seem to prove they are serious and have left the IRA criminality behind them.

Dr Paisley is a man of God that this country or even world has not seen in many many years. everything he does is done after long time in prayer. What a great benefit our country has to have such a great Christian man leading our wee land.

What is the difference between going into power sharing with Sinn Fein and any non Christians. Many of you opposers would have very little problem if there was Govenment without Sinn Fein. The SDLP are not Christians and how many of the UUP are? Not very many as their low morals shows. We are all murders not just Sinn Fein.

Sermon:
How Sovereignty Relates to Freedom
Pastor Charles Swann

“ Great Sermon! ”
I agree but also I think this leaves out much. Jesus went around healing and such. Some of the problems were because of sin in lifes, the devil doing things again a person. Even Jesus said He prayed for Peter for the devil wanted to sift Peter. Now I agree that God is soveren but I think this sermon leaves out much to the reason for things that befall people. I have seen that God created a wonderful creation but is not pleased with everything man makes from that creation. This is where I think this sermon fall short and leaves many thinking they have problems because God wants it that way with them. I think some the the events happening in lives comes from cause and effect and effect and cause which come under what God has set forth. I witness to most of the sermons from this man.

The fall of man was not a failure of God but of man.

Can i ask you a question.
Is Christ dying for all and all not recieving him make God a failure?

Ulster,
Thank you for your kind words, Although we have diferent views on some points we do not call eachother unsaved. We agree that there is only one way to Heaven and that is in Faith in Christ alone.

Maybe you can teach MBL that just because some people may have different views than him, that they must be going to hell.

dont worry about my soul i am saved and eternally secured to my Lord.

Calvin did not follow the wrongs of Roman Catholicism.
His summarisied beliefs are not Catholic beliefs but the biblical beliefs of many Christians.
He believed in Salvation by grace alone in faith alone.
This is the belief of a Protestant not a Roman Catholic

i agree some people on SA forums may not be saved.
But what you said wasn't going to shock them into doing something about it as you stated you where trying to do. All it done was to discredit yourself by seeming to feel happy about lost souls.

MBL,
you said "If John Calvin did not receive Jesus Christ by faith - HE IS IN HELL AT THIS VERY MOMENT.

Maybe he did, I don't know"

You hit the nail on the head with these last three words.
You dont know

You seem to take great joy in thinking he is in hell.

Shame on you.

You said "According to your perception of God, He is already a failure. He Created a paradise and allowed sin to enter and corrupt the whole universe as we know it."

What do you believe is God a failure?

Discerned Believer,
You say Christ died for all
You therefore are calling Christ a failure in his objectiveas as all will not be saved apart from those convicted by the holy spirit (Elected)

My Christ is not a failure
