Scripture uses the word church as "an assembly" rather than a qualification of anything in the people.

Given a choice between the God who created all things out of nothing, by the Word of His Power, over the space of 6 days a few thousand years ago, who created all things "Very Good", who created a world free from death pain and suffering, and a god who created things using Billions of years of death, pain, suffering, failure, extinction, which is the greater God? Which is more worthy of our worship, trust and adoration?
