Right on Cbcpreacher! Better to fellowship at home than with apostates! Some people have no choice. It is not "righteous judgment" to criticize these people, we need more like them.

Mike, I homeschool my children and I am not a certified teacher. If that makes me a "wacko" that’s still better than raising reprobates, which is what the public schools creates.

What does drafting women have to do with the military being extended? The United States has an all volunteer army. We have men registered if there is an emergency, after all someone has to stay home and it should be the women. We as men are obligated to defend women and protect them. Like I said earlier, men do not protect women like they used too, which is a shame. The people on this site are always saying "it is not just the democrats" and you are right to a point, but I know this, I only had to email congress two times over tyrannical legislation under the republicans and since January I've contacted both the Federal and state (the Iowa legislature switched over to the democrats also) congress over 30 times since the democrats took control. I wish we had real choices, but I'll take the Republicans over the reprobate democrats any day.

Patrick Henry was inspired to say this after witnessing a preacher that was tied up in the public square and whipped to death over several days for preaching without a license. We should not need a license to preach from the state and should not need the states permission to bear firearms. Our society is violent and that is all the more reason to be armed. The problem is mans depravity not the fact we can own arms. Disarming America will only give more power to the social elite, the devil and the wealthy. No thank you, I'll keep my handgun(s), rifle(s) and shotgun(s). Punish them that break the law (we haven't done that for years) and leave law abiding citizens alone.

Wayne M. from BC, Canada, I do not see a conflict between guns and being a Christian. The founding fathers of the United States did not either, and gave us the 2nd Amendment to give us the right to keep and bear arms. The main reason for this is to protect us against tyranny in the government. They have trouble loading armed citizens in box cars to go to death camps for example (Huckabee running for president stated this also). Every tyrant in history always disarms the people before he reveals he is a tyrant. I have read these post for years and did not post until this week. I used Pro Gun Christian because it related to this article (although I used it on Harry Potter also). My whole point was that people are violent, people are sinners, if a murder weapon is a knife, nothing is said about the weapon. If someone is killed with a gun, it becomes the gun dealers fault, the manufacturers fault, the manufacturer of the ammos fault, but the bottom line is that it is the murderers fault. In Iowa, we can get a permit to conceal and carry handguns. Buying handguns or long guns is no problem if you pass a background check. We have the same basic rule about transporting long guns as you.

Michael Hranek, you are right, election theology is off the subject matter of Harry Potter books just as I stated. To answer your question I am neither a Calvinist or an Arminian. I will not discuss this anymore than that or this will only cause a distraction to the real issue at hand. I have had good Christian fellowship with people on both sides of this issue also (election). Thank you for your post.

Harry Potter fans, what if someone writes written pornography with "Christian themes and allusions" as Alastair claims Harry Potter books do? Is this okay? Witchcraft is an abomination, no one has refuted this or other Biblical arguments yet. Ranting and raving on and on without Biblical support are useless.

Cncpreacher, because I said a murderer, that is convicted mind you, should be hung, you think I'm vehement and callous? Hanging does sound harsh, but it is effective and more compassionate than lethal injection. I apologize to everyone that thinks my comments are to harsh, but it is the truth (that has not yet been refuted). By the way there are many that have received the grace of God and still paid the debt they owed society by being executed. There is both temporal and eternal punishment in the Bible.

Cbcpreacher, you keep saying accountable and justice, but have not spit out if you are in favor of or against the death penalty, which is it? If you are against it, what do you think we should do with killers?
