Reply to Judy Judy,
You do not have the right to define "liberty in Christ" as "women can now be deacons" when it means sacrificing the inspired words of the apostles. Maybe in Canada they can do this, but not in heaven (Psalm 119:89) or in places filled with those who wish for His will to be done "on earth as it is in Heaven."
Have a nice day.
A Question Bro Joey,
How do you see 2 Thes 2:3-4? Isn't it true that the church en masse is to expect those two things before they are raptured? How do you understand the "partial-rapture" recipients' understanding of this passage?
Great Sermon! Why are we not surprised at Michael W. Smith's soft stand with lyrics like this (from "Open Arms")?
"Never judge You, always loving
Needs to be what we become
Lifting up the lost, showing them the cross
Shining brightly like the sun"
He doesn't see God as somebody Who judges? Nobody his practical theology is soft.
Great Sermon! I listened to this while I was away at C4 and I find it interesting that a Pastor is told to "flee youthful lust" (2 Timothy 2). It must be that Timothy the Pastor would always be confronted with it.
Great Sermon! I believe, given the nature of human nature, the falsity of an operation on this level would have produced a leak if Bin Laden wasn't dead. Let's not forget that we are dealing with scores who were involved with the operation.
Scrooge Humbug,
Since you don't have the courage to identify yourself, I won't entertain your comments (as most don't revisit a sermon under which they have posted anyway). I only say that you are missing the point (knickers notwithstanding). It was not a pro-Christmas recording as much as it was anti-anti-Christs recording.
Off you go, chap.
Biblical Perspective? I felt it unfortunate and ironic that Piper didn't cite any Scripture in his article. Moreover, if we are not considering a biblical ideal then it is just one opinion against another.
Perhaps the lingering question to me is "How many sin-haters swiped a credit card Wednesday because they couldn't afford eating out?" or, "How many sin-hat'n church members skipped their midweek assemblies to 'make their statements' about marriage--another of God's institutions?"
Right on! Thanks for stopping in, Nate. There was a line with Daniel and Peter and others, and I don't deny it. Rather I speak for care and good citizenry. Redress your issue in the courts.
