Mike wrote: There are always going to be the career offended, who hold themselves primarily to their color, or religion, or ancestral background, rather than being in Christ; who decry the lack of sensitivity in others when it is a lack of forgiveness or discernment in themselves. If "in Christ" causes offense to some because it relegates color, religion, or ancestral background to meaninglessness where it belongs, they need get off the milk diet and onto some meat. Hebrews 5:12 "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat." Galatians 3:28 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." Then we're not permitted to decry the evils perpetrated in this world based on a persons skin, especially when we have well meaning WHITE Christians who seem to justify or half justify such evils? Does the Bible have nothing to say on matters of social justice? What Bible do you read? You can quote verses like Gal. 3.28, but you are not the one who suffers color discrimination at church!! |
