I think we soon will have our own hate speech law that will create real problems. And our Supreme Court will likely not strike it down. Get ready for the persecution.

Rather let us say, Jesus SHALL cast the state (i.e., the people who govern the state) into the lake of fire.

Mr. Obama not only has a communist political philosophy, he has a Muslim background. And he recently traveled to Egypt where he grew a thin moustache not for domestic consumption. And he associates with people who give money to Hamas and other terrorist organizations.

In the old days, he would have been on the watch list. Now, he's busy putting us on his watch list.

It is no surprise that this administration is filled with people who openly call themselves (or have in the past) 'communists' and 'socialists' since their dear leader is one himself. When the light shines on them, they scurry like cockroaches to hide again in the dark.

Not only can we not see Mr. Obama's birth certificate, we cannot see any of the writings he created while in college. Why? Probably because they would reveal explicitly and in detail what we already know implicitly by his policies and actions: he's a communist, and so are the people around him.

Wow, if this is true how did the Dems win so big?
Maybe the voting fraud was more widespread than reported. This was observed by many experienced election judges in various parts of the country, but entirely ignored by the press in 2008, in contrast to the many unfounded allegations made against the Republicans in 2000 and 2004.

And, hardly any conservatives really wanted to vote for McCain. Palin wasn't much of a candidate either, and won't be if they nominate her in 2012.

On the other hand, most of those now claiming to be conservative are not really conservative. Ask them these questions and you'll get far less than 50% of the GOP, let alone America:

1. Should Social Security be done away with?

2. Should government schools be eliminated?

3. Should America withdraw from all its current foreign entanglements?

4. Should all illegal immigrants be deported as quickly as possible?

5. Should the appeal process for death penalty cases be reduced such that the time between judgment and execution is less than three months?

I doubt we would even get 50% of the regular posters on this "conservative" site to agree to all these, yet they are truly conservative positions.

John, the conservative Democrats were defeated when Woodrow Wilson won the party's nomination almost a hundred years ago, were demoralized further by 13 years of FDR, were so marginalized by the time of JFK that he is now considered a conservative Democrat (!), and were utterly driven from their party in the 90s by the Clintons.

Look up Zell Miller's comments from the 2004 Republican convention.

"Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy." - Proverbs 31:9
One thing admirable about Senator Edward Kennedy was his general support for social justice and the cause of the poor and needy.
...
"Rob not the poor, because he is poor: neither oppress the afflicted in the gate: For the LORD will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them." - Proverbs 22:22-23
Let's not forget his obvious care and concern for the very poorest people: those still in their mothers' wombs.

The truth is, Ted Kennedy had more blood on his hands than Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Ho Chi Minh and Pol Pot, combined, particularly when his very successful efforts to export the American abortion industry overseas using tax dollars are considered. The numbers of the murders he helped commit are probably in the hundreds of millions.

So far the only thing that has been proven is that Mr. Obama is unwilling to produce the long form birth certificate supposedly in the possession of the State of Hawaii. The lawyer who has produced this document is willing to have it scrutinized in open court.

This is the question, then: Why isn't Mr. Obama willing to have his long form birth certificate scrutinized in open court?

The real question is where did all the money COME FROM?

Answer: Printing presses at the various mints owned by the (privately held) Federal Reserve Bank.

Get ready for hyperinflation.

Money should never be a factor in health care.
Then why are there so many Canadians who go to the US or India or Thailand for health care?

I'm sorry about your brother's condition, but where is it written that "money should never be a factor in health care"? Every one of us is dying because of the effects of sin. Are you saying we ought to spend whatever money is left over after the current administration has bailed out the auto unions on health care?

Oh, wait, that IS the plan...

This is a great idea! I just hope India and China don't find out about this easy way to put everyone above the poverty level - all those jobs they've been taking from us will come back, and then who will support Obamacare?

Definitely he should be charged for perjury. It should be significant, once he was proved guilty. Why is this still an issue when they have posted his birth cert. online? Am i missing something?
1. See fuzzy logic's post - first one in the thread. There's a link to an article that explains the problem with the "birth certificate."

2. Even if it were something resembling a real birth certificate, he ought to allow certified document examiners hired by and paid for by the Republican party (or some other opposition group - not sure the Republicans actually oppose him). If it's genuine, it will withstand the scrutiny. He ought to allow that since it's a legitimate question raised in part by evidence given by his own grandmother, who has said that he was born in Kenya.

3. If posting stuff online were good enough, we would all be Calvinists by now.

Hey Ochlocrat:
If he was not born in the US and he LIED to become president in direct violation of the US constitution, he is NOT entitled to be president simply because he was sworn in.
That would be like saying if a criminal commits a crime and is not caught, then he gets a free pass for getting away with it.
We live here with a rule of law that if neglected on this point, might as well be thrown out the window for the remaining part of it.
As a practical matter, the criminal who does not get caught DOES get a free pass in this life, but only in the sense of he is not brought to justice by human government. Still, God will deal with him in the final judgment.

It is the same with the president. Unless and until he has been proved to be a liar, and is brought to justice by a duly constituted authority (say, Congress impeaches him), he has actually satisfied the requirements of the constitution. We are not permitted to decide ourselves that he is a liar and therefore decide to disobey him, unless he commands us to do something contrary to God's commands. The officer should obey his orders.

The rule of law was abandoned by this country a long time ago; it is just beginning to become more obvious these days.

Whoa, Ochlocrat, what a conspiracy theory. Maybe you could sell it to Fox News. I agree with Jim Lincoln. I know a dozen people will get on here and justify this action. I feel he needs to be jailed, atleast for the duration his unit is in Afghanistan!!!
Oh, it's not my theory, it's just the chatter on the right.

Do I personally believe he was born in Hawaii? No, or he would have produced the actual birth certificate to put all this to rest. Plus, his Kenyan grandmother is on record as having said he was born in Kenya - not something grannies usually forget.

Does that justify a commissioned officer refusing an order? No, I don't think so. He was sworn in as president, so he's president, like it or not.

It's kind of like the some of the old Roman emperors became emperor even though they were not Roman, or Germans who became English kings, etc. And Israel and France both proved that an unbroken succession of legitimate heirs does not necessarily guarantee good government. Here in postmodern America, legitimacy has been downgraded to 'nice to have', not 'need to have' or 'must have' - though the appearance of legitimacy is still required, if only barely.

Jim Lincoln wrote:
Doesn't matter where he was born, John McCain wasn't born in the U.S., but in the Canal Zone, just like Obama, he had at least one parent who was an American citizen. They have to prove his mother wasn't his mother.
Actually, at the time Obama was born (and McCain, for that matter), if both parents were US citizens, the child is a US citizen, regardless of where born, but if only one parent was a US citizen, then the child had to be born in the US or it is not "native-born" (and therefore unqualified to be president upon reaching age 35, per the Constitution).

The theory abroad is that Bill and Hillary have the original Kenyan birth certificate in a safe place, which is how she got the position at State.

Is Minnesota really that progressive?
The term "progressive" is one of the great masterpieces of political propaganda of the last century (well, OK, late 19th century).

Ask yourself, for whom do these "progressive" policies represent actual progress?

1. Abortion on demand.
2. "No-fault" divorce.
3. Government schools that segregate children into their "evolutionary peer groups" (i.e., "grades") as opposed to the mixing of age groups found previously in educational settings.
4. The promotion of adultery, fornication, and homosexuality through pornography under the guise of "freedom of speech."
5. Forcing women out of the home and into the workplace through emotional coercion.
6. Robbing millions of able-bodied men of their incentive to work and encouraging the destruction of families through public welfare programs.
7. Hindering the exercise of justice, including capital punishment, by means of a ridiculously lengthy appeals process and bad laws.
8. The glorification of drunkenness and drug addiction through mass media.
9. Confiscatory tax laws that amount to massive theft by the government.
10. Abandonment of the rule of law when it gets in the way of getting your way.

It's progress, all right - for Satan.
