“ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: THEN WE WHICH ARE ALIVE AND REMAIN SHALL BE CAUGHT UP TOGETHER WITH THEM IN THE CLOUDS, TO MEET THE LORD IN THE AIR: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18
If there is not going to be a “rapture” {catching up - harpazo} could someone please explain what this passage means in plain English.
p.s. I do not hold to a pre-trib rapture.

I Timothy 3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
This was not some “invisible” church Paul is speaking of.
This was not the “internet or TV church” or even the “home church”.
This was a church with a bishop or pastor and real live deacons and deacon’s wives.
This was a church with elders that ruled and teachers that taught and widows that needed care.
This was a local visible church.
I think it is Gods design, unless physically hampered, that Christians are to attend a local Bible believing church.
{If one is available of course}

“ Wake Up! ”
Always had a queasy feeling about the books and movies. This sermon may explain why. His quotes are unbelievable. But just as Joel Osteen thinks the President is born again there will be those who will claim the same thing for Lewis. Thanks for telling more of the truth about this man.

“ Good Info! ”
Pastor Justice exposes Mark Driscoll for what he is. He does not go into the lurid details but says enough that any concerned believer can investigate further. This is just antinomianism raising its ugly head once again. You can read more here. http://teampyro.blogspot.com/2011/08/pornographic-divination.html Thank you for standing for truth. God bless

“ Excellent Message ”
I really enjoyed this message. It was an encouragement. I have been listening to Dr. Paisley since the creation of SermonAudio. He has fought the good fight. Dr. Green’s message on the Welsh revival is also worth a listen. http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=11300444924

Pot talking about the kettle?
John MacArthur said concerning Driscoll,
“He is a very effective communicator—a bright, witty, clever, funny, insightful, crude, profane, deliberately shocking, in-your-face kind of guy. His soteriology is exactly right, but that only makes his infatuation with the vulgar aspects of contemporary society more disturbing.” John MacArthur http://defendingcontending.com/2008/09/27/john-macarthur-on-mark-driscoll/

The “sinner’s prayer” and in many cases “going to the alter” are today’s equivalent to infant baptism in the 17th and 18th century. Say the prayer and you are in…no questions asked. Nothing wrong with praying or praying at an alter at the front of a church but these actions do not save. Give the message by Ray Comfort a listen on True and False Conversion. http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=517121549270

apostasy has begun wrote:
"In fairness, this is something that Mitt Romney himself has been rather candid about...
"...Going back to the history of Mormonism, millennial madness so gripped Joseph Smith that he laid a cornerstone in Jackson County, Missouri, at the exact location he supposed the millennial temple would be constructed. And not only did Joseph Smith believe that Christ would setup the millennial reign in Independence, Missouri, but he supposed Western Missouri, not Southern Mesopotamia, to be the location of the Garden of Eden, and therefore, believed that the first man Adam would return to the state of Missouri to prepare the way for the thousand-year reign of Jesus Christ upon the earth."
-Hank Hanegraaff
A 14 karat Mormon is giving the commencement speech at a fundamentalist University? How is this even possible?
There is a fine line between Baptist fundamentalism and republicanism. Just criticize Flush Limbaugh in a room full of fundamentalist and you will see what I'm talking about.

West Virginians will continue to vote for the democrats while they take away their money, morality and their jobs. If the governor had any guts he’d padlock the doors on the EPA in Charleston Monday morning and surround the building with the West Virginia National Guard and dare anybody to try to go in.
The bottom line is that union coal miners will vote for democrats even if it kills them.
This all started with Lincoln {not you Jim}

“...someone in the crowd shouted to the former Senator as he passed by: “Explain why you voted for No Child Left Behind, Medicare Part D, and five debt ceiling increases. What’s ‘limited government’ about that?”
Santorum, visibly perturbed by this line of questioning, turned to the man and shot back: “Vote for Ron Paul. That’s what you should do.”

The story is that Santorum is not a conservative; he is like all the other Republican candidates, a CINO Conservative In Name Only. But he did say one honest thing... “Vote for Ron Paul. That’s what you should do.”
