Barry Watson wrote: Mr Holes pleaded guilty and was fined. Holes admitted to his guilt..? He Holes, choose to leave the country guilty. Holes did not mind to get involved in the incident, but choose not to get involved the court. Holes choose to be guilty, by doing so admitting the homosexuals to be right.. Holes, got no backbone.. Well said - the tragic thing is that, having got back home and having read comments by myself and others on his blog, Mr Holes indicated when questioned on a radio show about his decision to plead guilty that he had no regrets about his decision. Somehow, I can't imagine the apostles or martyrs down through the centuries taking the same approach. Christ warned that we would be brought before courts and authorities and he assumed that we would plead not guilty, as he referred to "trial" and "defend yourself" - and stressed that the purpose of being in court was to "bear witness". What kind of witness is it to admit you are a public menace? That answering a question accurately from Scripture is a crime? He said they were "trumped up charges", so it was what is called a "plea of convenience" - had the court been aware of that, his plea would not have been accepted. |
