This sermon really touched me. I was led to this sermon at a time in my life when I need God to make a way. This sermon helped me to understand my trials. Thank you Jesus. God Bless you Pastor Gibbs.

“ moving and humble ”
More than a great intellectual sermon. The Holy Spirit touched my heart and tenderly show me more of His love. Few preachers are full of both wisdom and care.

Folks, just a random, unrelated-to-the-article comment: if you're going to comment, PLEASE try to spell correctly (if not use correct grammar and punctuation)! It's just a good testimony!

Folks, before we start in with the same old same old of criticizing everything...

How about being challenged by what this man is doing! How much Scripture do YOU have memorized? What are you working on right now? We can all grow in this area, I'm sure.

Think about when people in the OT approached God.. there was not a hint of casualness in their demeanor.

At Mt. Sinai God commanded the people to wash their clothes before He met with them and gave them the Law. They probably only had one set of clothes each, but seriously, would it befit the holiness and majesty of God to approach Him in dusty, sweaty traveling clothes? (But isn't it the heart that counts? Apparently God was concerned about the outward!)

What about when Moses stood before the Lord in the burning bush encounter? God told him to take his shoes off because he was standing on holy ground.

Or think about Isaiah in Is. 6... casual? I think not!

Even the saints in heaven are attired in white robes, and I kind of doubt these robes are anything less than the very best heaven has to offer!

If we really got a hold of who God is - His majesty, His holiness, His greatness, His power, His honor - we'd be a lot more careful about how we approach Him!

Study worship in the Bible. God didn't accept things done just any old way. He has a very particular way He wants to be worshiped.

A casual approach to God? Look in your Bibles... I don't think you'll find it!

“ Great Sermon! ”
i actually agree with you on some things, the only thing i disagree with is the last trumpet...after the last trumpet there are the bowl judgments, so if we are going at the last trumpet, then there still is judgments that are going to come upon the earth, i think we may have to go thru some of it but not all of it. in the book Heaven is soo real, choo thomas says that Jesus told her that he would take us out pretrib, there will be people here that will be saved during the trib, and those are the ones that have to die for Jesus to be saved and refuse the mark. so there has to be something specail for them, we who are taken before the trib, will return with him on the white horses... no matter what, i still love Jesus and i appreciate your stance. i used to believe that we would go thru the trib, but after reading choo's book, now im pretrib. thanks and God bless..see you in Heaven!!

“ One of my favorites. ”
God used this sermon to open my eyes in the summer of 2006 out of a false conversion. I thank God for Paul Washer, but most importantly, I thank God for sending Jesus Christ to earth to die and to rise for wicked sinners and for God's Glory. :)
