After reading several posts by SteveR, I am shocked to find a person ,who thinks himself a Christian ,to have viciously attacked two ladies who posted nothing but the facts concerning Roman Catholicism . One of the posters had her character defamed and the other one he came across as being a watchdog over any of the articles that HE didn't agree with that she posted. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Who do you think you are? You certainly are not a gentleman never mind a Christian!
When I saw that 1517 mentioned "The Christian in Complete Armour". I had to add my small mite...what a blessing this book has been to me and my husband. We have given our first copies away and purchased another...a real jewel..would highly recommend it.
The bible also says you will know them (Christians) by their love. 1. Love of God and his commandments. 2.Love of neighbor. Personally just by reading your posts....I see neither. You really need to take the concerned advice from the many who have warned you on this board...and examine yourself to see if you are in the faith.
Suggest you read Foxe's Book of Martyrs...John Y. Your religion burned many of the Reformers. So you speak falsely saying all the Protestant Reformers believed that Romanism was a true church. You may also want to read J.C.Ryle...Why were our Reformers Burned. You are very misinformed.
Yes we have read Mr. Pinks bio. We also do not agree with all that he wrote in his younger years. He was an Arminian and Dispensationalist in his theology during that time....but the Lord straightened him out. Yes quite refreshing how the leaders in the Free Church cared for Vera.
We also have been very blessed by the pen of A.W. Pink. His 'Studies in the Scriptures' have been read by many of God's saints and have proved quite useful in these dark days. He also could not find in his day a place to gather with like minded brethren ...he wrote that it would be better to stay home and worship God and read ones Bible than to set foot in most of the apostate "churches". How much more today?
Yes Mr John UK...that was exactly what my husband and myself said. How wonderful that our precious Saviour rescues old sinners from themselves and from false religion. To God be all the glory! For He is worthy.
Just wanted to respond to all those who were so kind to post concerning my comment. Yes, Christopher I was quite remiss in not mentioning the others that you had noted in your post...they had not come to my remembrance when I posted but they certainly have contributed much to this forum. I am disgusted by a certain few who are spreading romananist lies and one who actually condemns and slanders others. Which of course that is the way of people who are bound in dead religion and not crucified with the living Christ. Have a blessed Lords Day to all.
