KJV"This form of English adds a spirit of grandeur to the English Bible that is lacking when it is removed. None of the modern English Bibles has been praised as literary masterpieces as the King James Bible has. The Greek scholar A.T. Robertson observed: “No one today speaks the English of the Authorised Version, or ever did for that matter, for though, like Shakespeare, it is the pure Anglo-Saxon, yet unlike Shakespeare IT REPRODUCES TO A REMARKABLE EXTENT THE SPIRIT AND LANGUAGE OF THE BIBLE” (A Grammar of the Greek New Testament, p. 56). The British biblical scholar Bishop Lightfoot wrote, “Indeed, we may take courage from the fact that the language of our English Bible is not the language of the age in which the translators lived, but in its grand simplicity stands out in contrast to the ornate and often affected diction of the literature of the time” (The Divine Original, Trinitarian Bible Society, London, England). Second, the King James Bible retained THEE, THOU, and THINE for biblical accuracy. The Hebrew and Greek languages of the Old and New Testament make a distinction between you plural and you singular. The English language also has this ability. THEE, THOU, and THINE are always singular. YOU, YE, and YOUR are always plural." (wayoflife.org) |

John UK wrote: particular propitiation Dost thou meanest Particular Redemption?"Now, secondly, we must measure the great redemption BY THE STERNNESS OF DIVINE JUSTICE. "God is love," always loving; but my next proposition does not at all interfere with this assertion. God is sternly just, inflexibly severe in His dealings with mankind. The God of the Bible is not the God of some men's imagination, Who thinks so little of sin that He passes it by without demanding any punishment for it. He is not the God of the men who imagine that our transgressions are such little things, such mere peccadilloes that the God of Heaven winks at them, and suffers them to die forgotten. No; Jehovah, Israel's God, hath declared concerning Himself, "The Lord thy God is a jealous God." It is His own declaration, "I will by no means clear the guilty." "The soul that sinneth, it shall die." Learn ye, my friends, to look upon God as being as severe in His justice as if He were not loving, and yet as loving as if He were not severe." CHARLES HADDON SPURGEON. On Particular Redemption. This of course is about "Limited Atonement" Limited by God alone for His predestinated Remnant iaw Christ's words, "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him" |

"“The fact of the matter is the Justice Department reviewed all those allegations several years ago.” “The judgment was made then that there wasn’t anything that was improper or illegal,”"You know I feel that Dicky is no fan of Obama! Wonder why??? I thought Dicky and America would have realised by now that the policy of all Liberals, is to remove ALL authority from Justice, Government, Church Society, Marriage, Moral standards and any other institution they can lay their sticky paws upon. Therefore Liberals (aka Democratic party) will try to establish complete anarchy in society and its institutions. Isn't this obvious from the national and other examples - eg Britain, UN, EU, Liberal churches??? Look at Britain today their Judiciary always let the murderer, terrorist and other criminals away with their crimes. Punishment is banished from British justice now! WHY? Because of the disease of abomination called Liberalism. |
