I'm not against exposing lies. I also don't support the RCC or the ecumenicalism world view.
I don't know much about the Graham family either. When I saw Franklin I had only been a Christian for maybe 4 or 5 months. I've also seen his son who visited our church about 8 years ago and other than being treated a bit like a celebrity (which irritated me no end) I couldn't pick anything on the message he gave us as being heretical.
My problem was that the original message doesn't contribute any real content to the discussion and reads to me as more of a way to bait a response.
It seems to be a common thing I see here where people will argue about theological differences instead of the actual issue at hand.
I saw Franklin Graham at Telstra Dome in Melbourne, Australia in 2005. What struck me was, his presentation was very weak and I didn't get anything out of it... He told us all the story of the prodigal son. Sure, it affected others and some gave their life there, but he wasn't really a good preacher. However, I still believe it was worth it though if some of the people in the crowd became Christians.
An answer to my prayer! This sermon was an answered prayer. I asked God to just hold me in his arms and that is just where I felt I was as I listened to such comforting words.
Thank you for a sermon I will never forget.
