I guess we don't have any problem, since no long and scary looking black gun has ever slaughtered any six-year-old.

I guess we can't let you have a gun, Bute. I, without knowing you, have prejudged that you're dangerous and we can't trust you. Now I feel safer.

How many ad hoc aliases do you have, Jim?

Not at all, boy. Actually, it is pretty dishonest of you boy to move the goal posts.
You were talking about "mass murder" in church. Now you are shifting ground and engaging in ad hominem on the basis of not committing crimes at all. Calling
No, I have never come across a mass murder in church in my lifetime. That is not naïvety, but historical fact, boy.
Fair enough. I did change from "mass murder" to generic crime. I was irreverant, but I didn't attack you personally. Calling me "boy" was not ad hominem?

So, that said, have we found a line? Carrying a gun in church in anticipation of a mass murder is over the line in your opinion, but is it ok to carry in church in anticipation of, say, a single murder? theft? assault? where is your line?

In most countries that can be reasonably assumed.
Pretty naive, man. Do they have police where you are, or has everyone agreed to not commit crimes?

Solla Sollew ("where they never have troubles, at least very few") must be pretty nice.

Yet packing a 38 during the Lords prayer is just fine?
Yes, packing a .38 during the Lord's Prayer is perfectly acceptable, unless you can get the rest of the world to agree to not commit mass murder while you're saying it. You'd just cower and call in the help of policeman's gun, right? Would you prefer to just have a whistle to blow?

Hey, maybe that should have been in the list of suggestions recently given in Colorado on how you should ward off a rapist, after you pee yourself and puke on command!

This incident, as others, raises the question of what churches should do differently, if anything. On the one hand, who wants to be carrying a weapon to church? On the other, who wants their families and the children to be at the complete whim of a madman?
Why is it so bad to carry a gun in church?

How many more lives have to be lost before this irrational "sensitive places" social meme dies? There is no "safe" place.

What ever happened to separation of church and state? Oh I see. If the church is in favor of intrusive legislation that aligns with liberal ideology, it's ok.

Maybe we should have federally licensed clergy with a background check requirement. If it works for the second amendment, why not the first?

I heard it mentioned by Stuart Crane in the follow on lectures to "Wheat Receipts". That's a fantastic lecture that everyone should listen to. Google it.

Unless he's still copying his DNA, shouldn't he concede that he has no more value than a baby pig? That's another logical end of the atheistic mindset.

Well, it failed.

Do you think that teachers who were inclined to kill their students were sitting around waiting for permission to have a gun? Or, have you been watching The Naked Gun too many times?

Topol, have you read "Confessions of an economic hit man" by John Perkins? Chavez claimed he was being killed off by the US, and I'm inclined to give that accusation serious consideration. Think Omar Torillos...

What is also creepy is that Aaron Russo predicted, based on a conversation with a Rockefeller, that we would go into Venezuela and take out Chavez. Go see the first Zeitgeist. Russo died in 2007.

It is also illegal for teachers to bugger children but that never stopped it happening. Try again.
What do you mean by "bugger"? I'm sorry, I'm not following your manner of speaking this afternoon.

The comment that since teachers can now bear arms without fear of arrest they can now kill children is a non-sequitur. Nobody has proposed legalizing child killing. If that issue comes before the Legislature, I'll join the backlash.
