I remember getting a Bible from my mom for graduation. I am ashamed to say I was not too excited but then after living away from home for a while, I came to rely on that Bible every day. What a blessing!!!
How Times have changed. I remember the Gideons coming to our elementary school in the late 60s. All the kids including myself were excited to receive a small Bible of our own. There were no permission slips either.
As an Aggie , class of 86, I would not have permitted any portion of my student fees to fund the glbt group if it were in my power to do so. For that matter, I would say no funds should go toward any religious group on campus either. I attended church while living in College Station, and gave money to the church. I do hope this bill stays in force and thank God for those strong enough to back this bill.
