However I don't think David Cameron's announcement alone is that powerful or that important to make the Lord react. The nation and the false national churches sinful disregard of the Bible may be more pertinent. Jesus predictions about the "sorrows" are

= Lots of false religions and false interpretations of the Bible. We certainly see that today.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
= Wars a plenty during these decades.
"but the end is not yet"
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
= Nation against nation that prophecy is definitely fulfilled in the last century.
"famine, pestilences, earthquakes" - Natural disasters again there has been plenty of these. So the UK "floods" could fit in at this point.
