The only game in town wrote: Let’s start with a little reality check. There are no “NIV-only,” “NAS-only,” “ESV-only,” or even “New King James-only” movements. Only the King James Bible in English has inspired people to trust it, to the rejection of all other English Bibles. I trust it exclusively, because of its faithfully preserved text, as well as its faithfully written translation. It is, i believe, exactly what God would have said, had He written down His words in Classical English. Good points 'game' and true. The only reason Satan wants lots of versions is to confuse and confound the people in the pews and try to force people to believe we don't really have the WORD OF GOD!! |

Jim Lincoln wrote: I will say that KJV's are where many family records are kept, and that is why they are kept around. Either you say this from ignorance, which is a bad place to make any decision, or you are a servant of the father of lies! 2) You appear to imply that we have NOT researched Bible versions - whereas you have? Wrong Jim we make our basis of selecting the KING JAMES BIBLE upon good research and study of this (modern) problem. Also we reject modern versions such as the NASB, NIV upon this same basis. 3) Jim Lincoln; This is an insult and attack upon the Holy Spirit who has proved that in the last four centuries the KING JAMES VERSION was HIS chosen Sword to convert the nations. NB. NO Christian would attack the Holy Spirit in this way!! Satan is bound to try to attack the Word of God; - Just as surely as God is bound (and has done) to preserve His Word through the centuries. Now which is the oldest version? Psa 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times 7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve |
