Great Sermon! This encompasses the human condition. Catholic, Protestant, judiasm or anything. This is not necessarily a "Church" problem but a human problem. Ever since the beginning it's in man to run from his sins.No denomination will ever change that. What we have today is Matthew 7:13-14 playing itself out in real time. As it has in all generations. We are not special. Thoughtful discussion. Thank you.
Great Sermon! Commentaries are good sometimes. However biblical studies (my opinion) should not be centered on self. Such as make me smarter or make me love more or make me a better person. Its about God. Its about knowing him so deeply that his truths permeate your life. And yes love flows out of that naturally. Y'all touched on some of this. Thank you.
One of the central themes and I do mean central in God's word is that it makes those that are living in sin feel uncomfortable. Without that there can not be conviction. So any "policy" that trys to make people feel more comfortable is in square opposition to God himself.
A woman like that in proverbs quoted here is molded by God and a love of his Word. True sanctification will guide a woman into a correct path that is pleasing to the Lord. And if her husband is right with God she will also please him. One of the big issues in my life and I'm sure many others is those two individuals in harmony with God's word living together hardly exists anywhere. But when it does its a beautiful thing. When it doesn't its chaos at best. The world will constantly push each couple toward the chaos. And that force is even operating in these forums.
Great Sermon! Very good sir. Most Christians haven't had to contend for the faith in the last few hundred years. So the church is vastly un prepared for what's coming. This is one small smidget of information that can be useful for all of us. Keep them coming please.
Great Sermon! This article is a sign of our times. But really the same as all times. 1 Corinthians chapter 2 speaks clearly as to why this writer and many others will continue to stand against the simple faith in the authenticity of the Bible as the Word of God. Understanding and pity of where this man is in his spiritual condition is what is needed.
Must talk about this! I have a friend that is a counselor and counsels many men with sexual addictions. He has told me that in almost every case of porn addiction it will eventually lead to homosexuality or bisexualism or pedophilia. Let me repeat almost ALWAYS. So as we as a society continue down this road of immoral behavior these perversions will become more and more prevalant. And what does the LBGT community do with that fact? Because most of these individuals were strait as an arrow before falling prey to the porn addiction. Kind of blows a hole in the "born with it" argument.
Great Sermon! I think as double minded as it sounds we have two separate problems here that require us to approach this in two different ways. The first is hold government accountable for this mess in the voting booth. And the second is to flood these children with love and compassion that is required by our Christ centered outlook. Face it we are (in the big picture) going down a road that is terrible and irreversible from a leadership perspective. So in the midst of that darkness the light can shine brighter than ever. Perplexing to the max. But God is even in control of this. Great discussion.
Great Sermon! Look out 25 to 50 years. I can see people that call themselves Christians behaving in the same way as these Muslims are now. There is already a huge gulf in the liberal vs conservative arena to the point that conservatives are construed as extremists. Also remember the line of cr lies that we were fed during the 9/11 period that the Muslims living in theUS were "peace loving". Sometimes its best to just sit back and watch the truth of reality rise out of the lies.
Great Sermon! To me it just makes no logical sense at all to believe on one hand God created all life over billions of years of evolution and on the other believe that he is going to raise the living and the dead in the last day in an instant. Most Christians who believe this bunk believe just that.
Great Sermon! If we are to believe Carlton why not Joseph Smith or Mohammed? The devil was given permission to kill Jobs children. Why would we believe this obvious deception whether imaginary or demonic? We are always looking for a sign. Sound familiar? God's word stands for a beacon for all. Thanks for the review.
Great Sermon! One of the best cases for 6 day creation I have ever heard. Many churches have as their policy not to bring this subject up as they say its not important and turns off many people. It is important and this sermon clarifies why it is so important.
Great Sermon! required reading for everyone should be slouching toward Gomorrah. it was written by Robert Bork who himself was a nominee to the Supreme Court. not a Christian publication but goes into detail about what's happening with judicial activism today and where it will end up when its course is finally played out to the end. good job guys
Great Sermon! Remember Satan's argument with Eve in the garden. This is just a replay of that same argument. If we can question God's word in any area or any verse it opens up a pathway to doubt and ultimately unbelief. And what better place to mount that attack but on the very opening words of scripture. This whole approach by Satan is going to get worse moving forward. Buckle in.
