I read the article. My brother tried reasoning like that in the early 70s on a freshman physics test at Florida Tech; he flunked out.

If Muslims can memorize the entire Quran, then how difficult can it be for us Christians to memorize say the entire Sermon on the Mount, or maybe the entire Gospel of Mark? But then again, Psalm one does not promise any benefits to memorizing scripture, just meditating on scripture.

I remember back in the 1970s when everyone was saying God's judgment would come upon America if we did not outlaw abortion. I wonder when God's judgment will fall on China concerning these 330 million abortions.

Remember 30 - 35 years ago when Bill Gothard used to say, "All mental illness is caused by irresponsibility"? I wonder if that statement is still true today.

I didn’t know those insignias were copyrighted; I thought they were in the public domain.

For those of you who consider the KJV to be special or better or whatever, how did you reach that conclusion?

Wikipedia states, “In 1983 Roberts said Jesus had appeared to him in person and commissioned him to find a cure for cancer.” I wonder why Jesus just didn’t tell him what the cure was.

What does TR stand for? And what is the objection to this manuscript anyway? It is the oldest.

Perhaps the editors of this web site could conduct a poll on church debt. The question could be: “Right now, how much long term debt does your church have?”

I still haven’t figured out why some American Christians believe it was God’s will for the American colonists to rebel against the authorities God placed in their lives, i.e., the British government. I thought God hated rebellion.

How did you conclude the Authorised Bible translators rejected the Apocrypha as divine? I don't have my 1611 in front of me; is that in the notes somewhere? and if so, where?

I have at home a reproduction of the original KJV of 1611; it contains the Apocrypha as well as the OT and NT. Bought it over the Internet.

There are two considerations that Pastor Gus(and everyone)must remember when debating this subject: (1) a church has the right to preach the Gospel, and (b) no church has a right to be tax exempt.

I don’t think any of these energy drinks have alcohol in them. They just have a lot of caffeine, a psychoactive drug.
