Jim Lincoln wrote: He still was birthed by an American citizen, Obama never renounced his citizenship, his mother couldn't remove his American citizenship, so this is a futile argument, The Democratic Congress who certifies the worthiness of a candidate wouldn't care if he was born on Mars, so this all doesn't matter If he was an Indonesian citizen, then he had to renounce his U.S. citizenship to be so. If he did this, then the best he can be now is naturalized, not natural born. If not natural born, then he does not meet the requirements necessary to be President of the United States of America. If the law does not matter regarding this matter, then the law matters not regarding any matter. |

"This guy" is Kent Hovind. He is a faithful, zealous, evangelist of almighty God. He is not hiding behind his religion, he is shining his light before all men. His priority is not "making money" his priority is disproving evolution and making an argument for the Christian account of creation. He had a ministry dedicated to this and had ministers that supported this effort. These ministers he gave love offerings to as the Lord made them available. Caesar says, they're not ministers, they're employees and so Mr. Evangelist you must be a publican and collect taxes on my behalf. Kent Hovind chose not to be a publican, which he should have the freedom to do in a free country. He also chose to withdraw cash from his accounts in increments of less than $10,000 without reporting it to Caesar (this constitutes the bulk of the charges). In a free country he ought to be able to do this. Finally, he prayed against his enemies and the IRS took this as a threat. Therefore, not being a publican, withdrawing money from his own account and praying to God = 10 years in prison. What about Caesar? Give unto him what is his but don't steal what is the Lord's or the Lord's servants to give to Caesar. If Caesar needs more money, he can always print it. |

Overcomer wrote: To the natural mind, an imprecatory prayer does sound insane. A dispensationalist would surely say it's psychotic. But in times past, imprecatory prayers were in the Christian's arsenal of spiritual weapons. Calvin and the Puritan's prayed them during times of crisis and persecution. The one essential element to praying such prayers is to make sure your own spiritual house is in order. Yes, our prayer should be first that the wicked would first repent. But if they don't, and continue to wreak havoc on God's people,( and the unborn) it's perfectly acceptable to pray psalms of imprecation. The same God of David who answered his prayers, will most certainly hear ours. But our hearts must first be right. I would urge every person doubting these things to sit down and read through the Psalms. Write down every imprecatory Psalm you read. I suspect as persecution intensifies here in the US, and Christian's must cry continually to the God of heaven for protection, the imprecatory prayer will not seem to foreignanymore. Well said. |
