Don't you believe women are supposed to help their husbands? And like I've said multiple times, not everyone believes the same way as you. Cruz is a good man, has a personal relationship with God, and has a proper understanding of government and it's constitutional restrictions. That's enough for me! It's unfair to judge a man entirely based on some trumped up charge against his wife, and the fact that she works outside of home. I personally know many men who's wives have worked, and they are great Godly men!
I don't remember exactly where the article was, but if you do your own homework and stick with well reputed news sights (not to say you don't), then you ought to find it. The CFR document Heidi Cruz worked on was not part of some secret evil cabal, it was just talking about private industries from Western countries working together. I'm sorry I can't atatch a link, but I have faith in you that you can do your own homework and find the truth.
I agree that women should stay at home, what I disagree with kenny about is whether an issue like that determines your salvation. Some people are not convicted as we are, and for something such as this issue, we should not accuse them of not being saved! And with the CFR thing, she only edited a small portion near the end of the document. And the document was merely talking about private industries from America, Canada, and Mexico working together: not some secret cabal. Not Globalism.
She worked on a document that was talking about private industry working together. No Globalism. Also, just because your wife works does not mean you're not a Christian. Some people aren't convicted the same way you are! To question ones Christianity over something like this shows arrogance and pride on your part.
I'm praying for you and your son. It says a lot about you that you are trong enough to let go of your son, and it says a lot about him that he is courageous enough to stare evil in the face, and run into the face of danger. I'm praying that your son will be strong, and come home to you safely, and I hope others on this forum will do the same. God bless you and your son.
"This chain should drop the word 'Christian' from it's title and simply call itself a book store."
By saying that you imply the people who own, operate, and work in this chain are not Christians. And all that's been offered has been the fact that they sell some things you and I don't agree with. But the same could be said about just about any store, and I don't see people on here shunning grocerie stores and super markets as well! (Even though there is usually worse in these kind of stores).
P.S. There is also no problem with calling you or your business Christian. We are Christians, and we should be willing to show everyone around us that we are such. So if your a company, you can let your customers know that you are a Christian and that your business is Christian by putting that in your title!
P.S. There's nothing wrong with a Bible that has notes in it. That's what a study Bible is, and the Geneva Bible (the one we used as a foundation for our country) included extensive notes, and could be considered a study Bible! And calling it the "John McArthur Study Bible" just tells you that the notes in the Bible are by John McArthur, not that this is his own new Bible with new words and new teachings. Besides, I agree with John McArthur on many things, as well as Paul Washer and many others. So I would wan't to know who's commentary is in the Bible that I'm buying!
I wouldn't go so far as to say that FCB should drop Christian out of their name. Yes, they sell some things I don't agree with, but they also sell a lot of good materials! I don't understand why all of you feel you must trash it, but as I said in my other post, I really don't have any reasons for complaint about them. I'm sure every store is going to sell something you don't agree with, so if you wan't to start your own "perfect" business, then go ahead, but until you've done that, don't trash the people who actually have taken the time to do so. Even if you started a business, there would probably be stuff I would disagree with, and I would still not trash you for it! Different people believe differently, and there's no reason to call their Christianity into question just because you disagree with some of the things they sell! Their faith is between them and God, not them, you, and God!
