I wonder why they emphasise the date and the personal handwriting of Washington?
Surely they don't believe it has some "magical" (spiritual)? effect on the swearing in? Nobody could be that stupid could they?
But they seem to be convinced of some obscure power within this entirely human book.
Idolatry??

1. If Brennan does not believe the Bible, then we all should be thankful that he did not choose to perjure himself on it.

2. Since taking an oath is an act of religious worship, he illustrates the mindset that worships the idol of the Constitution perfectly.
